JJR just posted a video with Jaxx Johnson informing the world that David Gravel will drive the JJR41 in 2019. Could be a potent combo.

Love it. Glad we didn't lose him to NASCAR.

Really looking forward to seeing Macedo in the 2 and now Gravel in the 41 as well.

WoO shaping up to be a powerful force next year (as if they weren't already)

When I first heard David and the 5 parted ways, I was hoping this would happen!! This is great new for him and JJR!! Can’t wait until next year!

I predicted this one rght away. So no surprise here and I wasn't alone on this one. Several of us had it right. So, of the changes to the #2, the #5 and the #41, I think the team that has the best chance of improvement is probably the #41. I don't think the #5 will slip much, but I don't think it will retain the number three spot in the season points race. Provided Pittman and the #9 team stay intact at KKR, he is a threat to finish second, but most likely third in next years points battle. I believe Sweet will stay at number two in points.  There will be some first time around growing pains I predict for the #2 car. Nature of the beast for Rookies! The three thru six spots next year should be very entertaining

I think the 2 will be just fine beings Joe Gearte is going to be the crew cheif and he and Carson are a good team... Carson is a wheelman and will win a few races!!!!!

Good luck. Schatz in  Port Royal victory lane said he was already using 2019 rules Package on the car and hadn’t finished worse than 2nd Since they changed over. As long as he’s hungry, I don’t see anyone beating him for quite a while.

Surely you jest. Or maybe it's just starting early, the annual this guy or that guy is gonna dethrone Schatz. Last off-season it was Gravel and Sweet and in the years before it was others. Every year this debate occurs and every year Schatz makes it look easy.  Now a few have proven it is possible, Pittman and Jason Meyers have proven just that. As well, your prediction is who I would predict as one who is more than capable. It appears as if the KKR Sweet combo are playing Shatz and TSR's game, keepi g everyone together and being consistent which is the ONLY way you can beat him. None of the new combos have a chance....not the Larson team, CJB or JJR because new teams almost always take time to gel over the course of a season and you cannot hand Schatz that type of an advantage  In the meantime, until Donny proves me different I'll put my be on the 15.

There's always that!  I'm not a huge NFL fan for various reasons. I joked with a client the other day when he was trying to get me "back into " the NFL.  I told him if I did I'd probably be a Cleveland Browns fan for the EXACT same reasons...so I totally see your point. Lol.

Ummm....what are you begging to differ with me about. I said above Schatz was going to win. In fact I responded to a post above that said someone else would win saying , and I quote “surely you jest”. So I’m confused in how we differ since we both agree On the point.

Oh , and, since I didn’t say in my above replies, I think Gravel to the 41 is a good move by both parties involved. I wish them nothing but success.

Curious about Gravels Dads tweet, however, was there something going on behind the scenes at the 5. Not trying to stir anything, but it was a curious tweet that may just be a proud Dad talking.

I can remember when people used to talk like that about Steve Kinser. Nothing lasts forever.

Never said it couldn’t be done. The 5th sentence of my comment says just that that Pittman and Meyers did it. I disremembered that it was Pittmans first year when he did. However , I think we all can agree that, the vast majority of the time, I’d venture to say better than 95% of the time, first year teams don’t take down the many time defending champ. Can it be done, yes. Would I like to see it be done , again yes (and I’m a Schatz fan), but will it be done by a first year combination, probably not.

True, Pittman did win the title his first year in the ride and first year bak on tour. However, you allude to a happening such as that as "taking down" the many time defending champ. Pittman didn't "take down"Schatz, if anything, Schatz and team took themselves down the first half of the season, with piss poor luck and performance. In the end, Pittman had eight feature wins on the year and Schatz had twenty-three. Pittman won the championship by fourteen points. I'll always maintain that Pittman backed in to the championship. As for the years Meyers won, those were heads up battles, for sure.
