Well, you should have lended your crystal ball to them so they could have gotten the race in. Seriousl, they made the call they thought was appropriate given the information they had. Don’t like it? Then I don’t know what to tell you other than get over it.

Ditto - regarding on the information they had. Everyone including fans and drivers were looking at the same weather information and that information was going to most likely ADVERSElY affect turnout.
People often forget this is a business for these tracks/promoters and if they lose their shirts financially we run the chance of no more track!

Not only is it a business, racing is a destination for enjoyment for the fans as well as the drivers and teams. Kudos to the tracks that take the innitiative to cancel in advance when the weather is that iffy. If I'm a promoter or track owner, I'd do the right thing by my customers. You're doing a disservice to the fans and the teams if you disregard a weather forecast that is terrible and have them show up only to be sent back home. I think everybody involved is always disappointed when weather forces a cancel anyway. Why prolong or even compound the disappointment on an iffy deal? No reason in my book.
