I think Ryan Linder with his X1 chassis was using Docol R8 or at some point experimented with it. Not sure if he is still using it. I believe he built Jason Barney a couple frames from it. Not many X1 chassis out there. Ryan Smith ran one on the 94/59 for a bit.

As a followup I see on Twitter that Flea is sending out some Docol R8 for testing along with 4130

Have heard no issues about its use in the late model chassis world the last 2-3 years.
Actually the Rocket XR-1 chassis that won both the WoO and Lucas Oil late model championships last year were built with it.
