As most of you know the Tuscarora 50 was rained out both days and a new date has not been announced yet.
This is a post to give people information that want a refund on their ticket.
I just want to alert people to a few possible problems that just might occur. The first is anyone that bought a reserved seat will only get general admission money back if you don't have your ticket stub because all people got the same white wristband. The problem is that after you got your wristband and found your seat there was no reason to keep your ticket stub as it was useless. It would not gain you entry to the grandstand or the races , so why would a person keep it. I kept mine just by luck , but my bigger point is that the ticket stub was worthless after the wristband was obtained but now the speedway is saying you need the stub to get the $5 back. Even by their on admission on the tracks Facebook page they are saying the stub is meaningless for a full refund and won't get you into the makeup race. But then the track says the stub is very important for a $5 reserved seat refund. In my opinion it can't be both ways.
Also the tracks posted rain check policy is TICKET OR WRISTBAND not TICKET AND WRISTBAND. The word OR is very important. And before anyone says it is just $5 , to me it is the principle of the situation.
Also another scenario to keep a look out for is on the makeup date the grandstand could become all general admission so all of us who bought reserved seats will be SOL.
A person might be better off to get a full refund now and take their chance on a seat for the makeup race.

So what are they to do, give everyone who paid general admission the reserved seat price back because they say they had a reserved seat.? Most of what you are saying is speculation at this point. Moral of the story is especially on a night like last Saturday is keep everything.

First off, both nights were NOT rained out. Friday night ran just fine with Little Freddie winning the race. Secondly, they said it fifty times plus tweeted it too, hold on to ticket stubs and wrist bands. The wrist band thing has been going on since they started having them at the track. Friday night of the new WoO Tuscarora 50 will be regular seating w/ WoO reserved I would imagine (just my guess) and wristbands/stubs will be honored for entrance and reserved seating on Saturday for the big show. None of this is really hard to understand, just read what they put out in press releases. Can't wait to get back to my nice comfy seat for the big weekend.

The Tuscarora 50 WAS rained out both nights (Saturday and Sunday). The Night Before the Tuscarora was a full show. Pay closer attention.

LOL, well you can say it was rained out sunday but those of us who actually pay attention to weather knew there was ZERO chance anything was happening. They just said that because they had advertised that as the raindate from day one. I'll try to do better next time, oh great and awesome message board warrior.

So Port said on twitter and announced it keep the ticket stubs. Well if you are not on twitter you are SOL and I was there all Saturday night and never heard keep your stub.
But a question I have is if Port did the things you say why on the tracks responses on their Facebook page that no one of there answers was we put it on twitter and announced it. To me that should have been their first response.
Which reserved seat has precedent for the 50? The Sept 8th seat or the one sold starting on August 22nd for the WoO?

Your Tuscarora 50 ticket has precedence. Any ticket for the WoO show will be refunded.

im not here to defend port because I don’t think they give clear information sometimes and are usually arrogant when you do ask for clarification on social media BUT...
Why would you throw out your ticket stub its to show that you have that seat in case someone sat in it and if weather is looking bad you throwing either one away is just plain dumb.

I would think if you made your purchase by credit card, the amount paid for the tickets would be sufficient in determining whether or not reserved tickets were bought. Your reciept or copy of credut card statement should help with that. For the cash buyer, sounds like they re sol.

Seeing it was 100% chance of rain on Sunday before they called Saturday night’s Attempt, I’m not sure why they considered using the raindate. And for your knowledge, I’m not a keyboard warrior. You told someone else to pay attention while not thinking it through yourself. Don’t bully the little guys.
