I believe listening to an interview with Mark's dad, he said he developed depth perception issues. I want to say it was from falling off a ladder or from racing (can't remember) it has been a while since I heard that interview.

I know this is a sarcastic thread, but recently I did see a story about the Kinser family being recognized and memorialized at a golf course or something like that in Bloomington I think. Had pictures of the entire Kinser racing family over the generations. And in those pictures was Mark Kinser. He looked damn good for his age, very fit and still built like a brick house. Didn't look like age had really started to hit him yet...compared to Steve anyway.
Looked like a guy who could probably jump in a car now and wheel it as good as most. And I'm guessing he's late 50's....

The guy on the left in the denim jacket may be Galen Fox. Just a guess.

All the Kinser clan. It's easy to figure steve and mark, I think would be on top of the win list. Then I would think randy and kelly, but not sure.

I'm assuming you mean Oklahoma Andy. If you had been to Ronald Laney's funeral and seen Andy you might understand why he quit racing. And remember, this was just 6 months after we lost John Bankston... both good competitors and I assume friends of Andy's. That was a rough time in sprint car racing. I heard that Andy only finished out the season because of his sponsorship contract. I think he was ready to "slow down and smell the roses" and enjoy his family. I commend him for doing that. I miss seeing him race but family is first. He was one of the best and I'm sure is a great family man. Thank you for the years you gave us of racing.

Andy had a pretty bad wreck at Eldora in 4, was running in a transfer spot in the B & the RR caught the wall or cushion & spun him head on into it & he ended up just past where they pull in facing the pits & you could tell he wasn't all there ( rung his bell ). Heard later that he had double vision for awhile after that one.
