I dunno. Photos on twitter from 2 hours ago look like maybe 600 people. Photos from 35 minutes ago show the stands to be about 3/4 full and thos look to be big grandstands.

Don’t think anyone is losing their shirt but those big grandstands (been there) look to be holding a damn nice crowd from what I just saw. Nobody’s losing their shirt, but I’m guessing a lot of shirts will be purchased!

Went to the track website. It said stock cars and another class as support but the link from the Woo page said modifieds. Also saw tickets were $40. Makes 13 days of racing on dirtvision in the next 30 days look super fair.
Always good to have full stands so the event comes back for another year.
Thot Allen was gonna do it. Probably would have if it stayed green.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I noticed that during the later races the stands were more people..Guess with the large stands and a few thousand it doesn't look too full..Johnny did a good job doing the stockers too..It was a good show..Was hoping for Allen but look what Schatz did in the last few laps..He always said he would rather follow for a while then make your move..Sure did tonight..Good show SLS Promotions..

Mentioing SLS. How does that work? Does SLS rent the track and hire the WoO or is SLS the ticket sales division of Woo? Do any race tracks actually just invite the Woo for their sanction fee and keep the profit themselves?

I was camping last year about 1 mile from the track and didn't even realize it. The last night of our week long trip, I took a left down the road and there was Black Hills Speedway. So of course I had to check it out. The stands seemed massive--as far as "Non-Knoxville/Eldora" tracks go. I would imagine it could look empty and still be holding thousands of people----if my memory serves me correctly. I thought the place looked really cool and hope to see a race there someday.

I grew up about 3 miles east of the track and went theere a lot in the 70's. Just curious, where were you camping? There used to be a KOA a couple miles west of the track.

Yes---KOA. Seemed closer, but may have been 2 miles or so away. The KOA is very nice and well taken care of. Loved the entire area. We picked a great place to camp--didn't have to pull the camper into any big hills and we could branch out pretty much anywhere. My only regret was we didn't make it a 10 day trip. I could've seen a lot more!!!!
Loved Keystone, Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Badlands National Park----hell, I even enjoyed Wall Drug
Didn't care for Crazy Horse Memorial. Don't get me wrong, it looks cool and is massive. Just don't get close enough to it. Maybe someday when it's finished I guess.
Wonderful part of the country to grow up in Murphy

Cedar Lake Speedway promotes their own World of Outlaws races (both Sprints and the Late Models for their USA Nationals) so there's one example.
