Bristol?  I flipped the TV on when there was about 200 laps left of the 500.  I thought the racing was getting close to that of the "Old Bristol."  Nascar could really go a long ways towards regaining fans (at least at short tracks) if they would just implement a "Saturday Night Under the Lights Format" at these short tracks.  Qualify.  Heats.  Twin B's.  And, if they want to do their stage thing, do a 2-stage A-main.  I thought the racing, especially the first 10-20 laps after restarts, was pretty good.  It ain't Knoxville by any means, but they could at least give it a shot.  Seems to work well for the Eldora truck race.  Could follow suit at Martinsville and Richmond as well.  (Dover?  New Hampshire?.  Hell, even Darlington?)

I did. I found it pretty enjoyable. I was pulling for Kyle Busch to pull off the great comeback, if only to see the internet collectively lose their shit if he did. Hahaha.

Kind of in the same vein as your suggestion, I suggest NASCAR go to more midweek night races that top out at like 250-300 miles. People have shorter attention spans, and this could be a great way to fit a race into a two hour programming window.  I think this could especially work during football season. Carve out Wednesday night as "your night" for appointment viewing. I mean, I watched the Eldora Truck race and that was midweek, same with the Bristol truck race. I know TV ad execs would never go for it because a loss of ad dollars, but I think it could work.

We’re getting to a point (maybe not yet but close) where a Dirt race with sprints, late models and trucks over 3 nights would outdraw the current trucks, xfinity and cup format they have now.

I don’t know that any additional gimmicks can save them now from becoming IndyCar, unless one or more of the drivers becomes a really big star like Earnhardt or Gordon was.

I would have to be flat out hammered to watch ANY NASCAR race.  I think I'd put it on to help me fall asleep faster.

Does anyone know of a website which has attendance records? I'd be really curious to see some of the indycar race attendances... From the limited tv angles it looked like there was maybe a couple hundred people at pocono yesterday haha. I know there was the long delay which might've caused some fans to leave but Pheonix looked the same way.

I don’t think they publish official attendance anymore, for that reason.
