Yep WAY overpriced. I'd really like to watch tonight (it's only night I can) but no way in hell I'd pay $41 dollars for a race and not even be there! Absotlutely insane...

I paid $150 for the Cappy + Nats and would do it again. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes.
It's the Nationals.

Apparently the DirtVision van housing all the at the track equipment to film and feed to the studio in Charlotte was broken into In st Louis and over 100k of equipment was stolen. Luckily it was insured, but still a blow to what was a great product.
Sounds like they’ll be back in business next week though.

Knoxville Raceway is a not for profit enity. They pretty much lose money all year running the weekly program. Nationals puts them in the green. The nationals is obviously the premier event in a niche sport. No one has a gun to your head. It is not your right to have an event supplied you at a price you think is correct. Vote with your dollars, or not. Coverage tonight was not perfect, but it was pretty good for me. Looking forward to 2moro.

It is quite a shame and the silence from The Cushion during the beginning of that A was deafening. Plenty of people on Twitter with mentions that they were having issues and then once everything cleared up on the low-res B stream, a Tweet stating that they were having no issues.
Knoxville, please save us and let DirtVision in. I know you have had a strong partnership with The Cushion for years, but I legitimately had more issues with tonight's broadcast than I have all year with DirtVision. And trust me, one year ago I would have loved to rag on DV because it was awful, but they have gone so far above and beyond to provide a quality stream in both video quality and production value.

I asked for a refund, totally messed up when the A feature started. Sound out of sync, bounced back to entry slide, pixelized a bunch. Seemed there was intermittent sound issues earlier but it would eventually work. But not the feature.
I will pay the price but it has to work.

I understand that & was willing to pay the price. But for that $$$ it has to work right. Mine was fine for 360s, most of tonite, then took a dump during A Main. Unacceptable

Same. I havent been to a race since the Kings Royal and I made the mistake of giving in to my sprint car withdraws. The buffering and freezing was only really bad during the feature, but the sound was going in and out every 30-60 seconds throughout the entire broadcast. Also, it seemed like the camera man was completely unaware of the graphic showing the running order/lap times at the top of the screen. Many times as the cars went through turns 3 and 4 the graphic basically cut the top of the cars out of he frame. Just something that made the broadcast feel so amatuer. I'm grateful theres a streaming service for me to watch the races from the comfort of my living room but damn...
Its f**king 2018, for $41 I expect a top notch stream. I will be buying Saturday's PPV only because I am splitting cost with friends and its the Nationals... other than that I will never buy another PPV from the cushion. To people saying the Cushion can set the price however theyd like... Yes I agree. But if last nights stream was only $25 and had issues I wouldn't be so mad about it and I'd probably be willing to buy tonight for $25 again. They would've made $50 off me. Instead they're only going to make $41 off me and here I am bashing them on the internet. I had 2 friends who wanted to watch tonight and asked me how the broadcast quality was last night. I told them truthfully that I thought it was poor. Both of them no longer plan to watch tonight. Theres another $82 dollars they've lost.

How can something be “worth it” and also “WAY OVERPRICED” at the same time?

It means that he thought it was too much but paid anyway because he's really into the Nationals...same as me
We settle for less than what we want all the time. Ever stay on a job you hated cause you needed the $$$?

Until all of the online streaming stuff becomes 100% foolproof with no hiccups I'll just wait and get the results in my NSSN next Thursday like God intended.

Update: The Cushion must've had a fair share of complaints. I sent an email and was told my money would be refunded. They mentioned certain customers streamed flawlessly while others had issues similar to mine. Cool of them to do this tho. Things like this is what will make me order more PPVs from TheCushion in the future.

Well this is kind of interesting. I guess they're taking the squeaky wheel approach and only refunding those who complain. Last night's service was very good with only a few very minor issues for me, but it is kind of disheartening to see that I will need to officially complain to get any kind of refund for Wednesday's fiasco.

From their viewpoint it makes sense tho. If it streamed flawlessly (like some people have said) they shouldn't be getting refunds. I'm sure with DV setting the gold standard of online broadcasts for sprint car racing, the Knoxville Nationals is probably what keeps the Cushion in business. They obviously must have some multi year contract agreement to be sole broadcasters of this race. Hopefully in 2019 I'm watching in person or on DirtVision.
