The good news is that modifieds are running a feature only tonight and they are starting hotlaps at 6 p.m. We'll see what we're in for in terms of track work - hopefully they won't need to do it twice tonight, but I'm sure we'll get one before the 55 lapper.

Not even close. 2006 Kings Royal ended at 230am with not a single drop of rain all night. It’ll be better tonight I believe, but don’t expect to be in bed by 11 if you’re on the east coast.

I'm getting my money's worth tonight. I have the Cushion and Dirtvision on. Gonna flip back and forth. Hoping no later than 11:30 CDT.

That, and last night's race, are ridiculous. I remember night #1 of the Nationals about 6-8 years ago. DIdn't stand for the national anthem until midnight. Still done by 3:00.

I'll never bitch again about long shows in PA. At least they run the 410's FIRST!!

+1, ridiculous that any track doesn't run the headliner first. Don't the Ironman's pay 20G to win? I couldn't help but wonder why so many top 410 teams would throw in a 360 to race for 10G(final night) on a 1/2 mile track instead of racing for twice as much on a racey high banked 1/3 bullring? Doesn't make any sense...even drivers from MO(Brown) cherry picking the 360's instead of racing closer to home against the big boys for twice as much. Never understood that. Maybe this is why? I don't know.

I just got back from my local track which also didn't run the headlining sprint car feature first even after starting 35 minutes late and dealing with a brief rain delay. I am losing my patience with this bullshit.

Yes it’s because they run the 410 sprints last, not because that 1/2 mile track has a 150k to win race coming up in 7 days.....

Paid 15G actually........and you dare to mention cherry picking? That's a laugh! And as for the Iron Man events, ten of the top twelve on Friday night were Outlaw regulars and nine of the top twelve spots were filled by Outlaw regulars on Saturday night. Just where do you think your best chance to do well woud have been?

Sorry, to be clear about this post I made, the National Anthem was not until midnight because of heavy rain..............I was trying to make the point that Knoxville started 5 hours later and finished only 1-1/2 hours later!!!!!!

I recall a "wild night" at the Grove several years back when the two minute work area rule was extended two times to a driver who made several ill advised moves in an 8 lap heat race that resulted in a fuel stop for the field. That was "wild" and a ridiculous pain in the ass at the same time.
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Yes, it was! If I remember correctly, there wasn't even a 10% chance of rain. As we were walking towards the track from the North Campground, we noticed it was dark to the Northwest. We pulled up the radar (only one of us had radar on our phone at that time) and realized we were about to get drenched. Walked into the bowling alley and bellied up to the bar until about 10:00!!! Needless to say, we were full by 3:00 a.m.
