Anyone else having frame rate issues tonight? Seems like it alternates between smooth (30fps+) to just slightly chopped (25-30 fps) every 15-20 seconds. Also have had my first buffering issue which a quick refresh solved, but still dealing with the choppines.

Same for me. Locks up and requires a refresh. Annoying as hell with the setup I have. I know last time it was doing that they had a alt link that worked great but not seeing one tonight. Might be worth a tweet @ them.

Sounds like they changed some things. Pretty solid so far.

Kudos to I-55 for really pushing the show along tonight. 31 410s, probably 30-32 midgets and maybe 22 modifieds (didn't watch them) and we're nearing the 5 1/2 hour mark, including two track reworks, the last of which has nearly hit an hour.

Wow! I'm getting a good laugh watching them trying to hook up Hunter's car. It's like they are trying to break the record for the latest WoO race ever without a weather delay.

Cushion's on the wall again, better go ahead and rework it during this red.

This is almost unbearable. And I usually don't mind a late show.

Unreal. We are slowly approaching NASCAR length here. Man, I hope it’s not the same support classes tomorrow.
Edit: I mean today.

Not one of their finer efforts. Why they insisted on running a full ump show is beyond me.

This is a problem with the way promoters think.
There's either one of two truths here - they can prepare the track to not require reworks for three classes or they can't, and if it's the latter, they need to cut classes.
This mindset of "well, let's drag it out and hope for no reds" is such a terrible strategy for long-term fan satisfaction. Going on 6.5 hours for three classes is just crazy. Knoxville was able to run a full 360 show with 48 cars and finished at 9:46 p.m (probably a few minutes earlier, that's the winning tweet time for Knoxville account).
I'm curious to see with Dirtvision being a thing now if contracts will be changed to limit support classes. There's a whole new revenue stream (which is likely quite large) that could be jeopardized if viewers (especially east coasters) ditch it because they're potentially up until 2 a.m. to watch the complete show.

It is. And I'm guessing we'll get to watch the track rework class run a full show too.

That race summarizes why I am a sprint car fan. Awsome! I am still shaking a little as I type this.

Would love to know the restart zones for I-55. Rico damn near started that last one going into turn 3. Also feel like he got away with one in the heat race where Shaffer was penalized. Looked OK to me and even Johnny called out that Rico spun his wheels, but the 49x was called for the jump and the 24 assumed the pole. Decent night of racing, some pretty big sliders.
Hopefully today's show can have a little pep in its step.

Agree on the heat race. He had dropped to third too. Think of how different his night could have been if they didnt call that back. He most likely doesnt make the Dash and that changes the whole complexion of his night.

I love watching the WoO and will continue to. This race was an anomaly. That said, I hope they move the show along a little better tonight. Strangely for me, i wouldn't even care if I were at the race in person. I always pull my camper to the races so I'm in no hurry at all. But I was having a very hard time staying awake last night watching on TV.
On a positive note, the racing looked fantastic!
I'm heading to Knoxville Wednesday morning. I won't even look at the time at all while sitting in the stands.

I always accept pevely for what it is when i go there. I know I’m going to get out late and be sweaty and dirty. I do that because the racing is so good there and I’m always on vacation when I’m there.
Having said All that, last night was a bit much. The Racing was great, but having the ump run a full show was dumb.
Luckily tonight, the modifieds are qualifying in the afternoon so they will only have a feature to run which save time.

Track was great for the first 30 to 35 laps of the feature after that it wasn't good at all. It showed with all the flat tires and drivers knocking down the wall.
After 2 am est is a bit long when they started before 8 pm est.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

There is an excellent article in the newest Area Auto Racing news about tracks all over the country that have stopped having weekly shows this year, most of them have run weekly since the 1950's and 1960's.
This 6 1/2 hour long and too long in general race program bullshit has got to stop NOW!
Short track racing is gonna die if something isn't done.
