Interview after night one of the 360 nats with sammi was hilarious. A man I have personally witnessed cut down on opponnents numerous times, and so have you, those who had the audacity to get a run to pass him, sending them flipping into the infield destroying their cars in some cases. So Kennedy rather mildly pinches him down to slow his momentum and win the race. Tears. Typical of his career.

I'm not a fan of Sammy's AT ALL. But I didn't take it that he was whinning. He was simply stating what Kennedy did to win. I bet if that was coming for the checkered flag next Saturday , the results would have been different.

You haters are so full of crap it's ridiculous! In typical fashion Sammy told it like it was. "If he hadn't come down the corner was mine". And if you were watching, it was. And he could have maybe knocked Kennedy for a loop....but he didn't, did he?!! That's not whining, you idiots! He also explained how some guys got held back racing for position which helped him get by about four guys at one time (it was actually three). Again, typical Sammy honesty. You idiots just can't stand to see him drive like he's capable of, can you? Just for once admit it.....he's a hell of a racer and did a hell of a job! Bottom line!

There’s also a picture of him laughing in victory lane with Kennedy. He’s over 60 and still doing great things in a sprint car. Enjoy it instead of finding faults that aren’t even true.

Sammy haters, what a silly, sad bunch. Kennedy even said that when he saw Sammy his first thought was " you're not passing me" so sorry, they both spoke the truth. Sammy had the run big time and could have "slammed" him but didn't. He's still a legend and getting it done. If you think otherwise, you know NOTHING about sprint car racing.

I agree. Looks to me like Sammy had a wheel under him for sure and the line was his. He cut Kennedy a lot of slack there, and I didn't take what he said in the interview as whining at all.

Sammy definately was gracious describing the last corner stating Kennedy did what he had to do.
I guarentee you though Sammy and every other racer that makes the A main next saturday completes that pass in the same situation.
Great run by Sammy last night, was definately worth the price of webcast.

Sam is getting more P.R. and bringing excitement and fans to 360 &410 racing.He will be remembered as one of the best driver mechanics in Sprint car racing and at 62 hes not done yet.The 21had a big lead from the front and Sam did well in traffic to catch him and make it an exciting finish. To not be happy with 2nd is what a lot of racers dream about.As Jack Hewitt stated that he didnt care if they booed or cheered as long as they bought a seat

Hey smoker, don't you work at the track? If you are who I think you are, you likely were in no position to judge the move and as the majority of the comments in here, if you did see it, then you are flat-out blind and just a hater like the minority....You have interviewed Sammy enough to know that he tells it the way it happened even when he screws up and I'm not calling the lead poster here Tony Bokkhoven. I have been wrong before and you can email me to tell me so, my address hasn't changed in over 20 years....

Whining last night? Nah. Was he disappointed with 2nd? Absolutely! He is never gonna be happy if he is short of the best. That drive is what makes him still super competitive at 62! His VL speech pretty much just described the race and what he had to do to have a shot at it. He complimented Kennedy and his last lap cause Sammy knew he had him if Kennedy stayed high.
