A helpful hint for some forum posters (I hope). Our company has struggled with trying to figure out how to get all that "free" exposure from social media. I've been a big-time user of message boards like this one. There is one thing I've figured out that does not work when a thread you wish was at the top has sunk. If you go in and post to that thread writing only "bringing it back to the top", or worse "+1", in the hopes of more people seeing it and reacting to it, they will, but probably not in a positive way.
We see this a lot on here when someone is trying to promote an upcoming race or event. About the 2nd time I click on a thread to read "+1" again, it's off my radar. It would be better if they added something new to the discussion. For example, I'd rather open up a thread and see that Harry McCool will be there in the Coors Sponsored car from Colorado. (*There was such a driver & car when I was a kid. He was as popular as the guy with the playboy pin-up laminated to his trunk.) If you see a thread that you wished wouldn't sink and would keep going, there are two easy ways to bring it back to life: 1) Ask a question of one of the people who has posted on the thread or 2) Mention Port Royal or the PA Posse. (Sorry man- the devil made me do it.)

Harry McCool is my Knoxville sleeper pick.
Or was he a one track wonder?

Don't bet too much on him to win. He was a late model driver in 1974. He might be a little rusty now.
