Visitors took 3 of the top 5 tonite as well. Lucas Wolfe was a rocket, as fast as I have ever seen him, impressive win. Double D. had a comfortble 2nd followed by, Starks, The Swindell Speedlab car driven by Bayston and Tony Stewart finished 5th, two good nights in a row for him.....

As Robert Ballou would say, mother nature made sure that Port was "juiced up" tonight. Efforts by the track crew to widen the surface plus adequate moisture made for some awesome high speed action in the feature. I think Greg may have had them covered but we'll never know. Tough break for him as he was leading Speedweek points. Lucas was strapped to a rocket and once he got by the 48, it was a done deal. Hope we see more of the same Saturday. Hard to beat Port Royal when it's like it was tonight.

I could be wrong here but didn't Hodnett and Dewease both have collasped wings while running in the top 5? That would have changed the top five quite a bit, just saying.

I'd like to add that Greg Hodnett and the #27 team seem to be getting back to the form they had a few years ago. It would appear that those who had written Hodnett off last year didn't know what they were talking about (not surprising). He sure looks pretty stout this year, and maybe the team will get even stronger. Not sure about Dewease's front wing but Hodnett's definately cost him a real shot at a win. Two very good Feature races last night with the 410 and 360 cars!

Kreitz tweet confirmed the 69k had a collapsed nose wing dropping him to 7th.

69K must of been having problems with traction all night dropped out right after start of Hot Laps and went backward in the feature.
On another note Strawser tou missed two of the best races that will be run all tear both features had multiple lead changes and three cars racing for the lead on the Slip And Slide.

Last night was anything but a slip and slide, that track was perfect. Multi grooved and fast. Far better than the usual black slick and slow. The 69K had an issue with their front wing in hot laps as well. Definitely not their night.

Hodnett is definitely back in form. All of last year, even on nights he won, it seemed as if they struggled with forward bite through the center of the corner. This year, especially in the past few weeks, that hasn't been a problem. Greg has been a top 3 car pretty much every night. Their luck hasn't been the best but the speed is definitely there.

Yes, I noticed mother nature had to help the track preparers out last night. The slip and slide turned into a speed track with passing...but according to the track preparers you can't have a good race when it is fast. I was on my way home from a family picnic and didn't get home until around 8:30.
The only way I will go back to the Port is if it rains on raceday.....they need all the help they can get when it comes to H2O part.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

As much as I am NOT a posse fan, but Nascrap will NEVER beat the Posse or anyone else. Those drivers are all ex Outlaw, All Star, ASCS, Posse, etc. They aren't the typical NASCAR driver.

Great to hear from you JP. As much as I love Chico and CAlli in general it is doubtful I will ever get back out there, just not as healthy as I was back in the good ol' days. Not likely I will make it anywhere but I do purchase many PPV's which while not the same, gives me a little insight and pleasure. Those days with Shawny Boy, your Luncheon and John and Robbie's presence were some of the best I ever had in the sport, miss you and them a ton. Hope things are well with you and your shop.....

The front wing on the 69k fell flat with about 8laps to go but rather than stop on the track...(27) he kept it going thru the end of the race. Donny K was sitting near us...we all saw it as the car came thru 3-4
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Correct, but only the left side of his front wing was flat unlike Hodnett's which was totally pancaked.

There is NO debate, hasn't been one in years. The Posse isn't nor hasn't produced major talent (thank God for the Bobby Allen connection) in decades. CA without near the competition on a regular basis has many times over. I don't bring it up anymore on here because it's not fair. I thought last night was taking it a step further when the NASCAR boys put it to them, dang.
Young Fred is a talent, a true talent with a great future, I hope Dad lets him hit the highway in a few years to practice and show people the ability he seems to have. I would like to see Double D get a major sponsor and hit the road also, he always goes hard. Having said that tho' the road is a tough place and not getting easier, time will tell....
By the way, these thoughts are simply result oriented and occasional PPV's, I no longer can make any better of a claim and it's not like I am seeing a dozen or more races in PA like I used to every year...
PS 4 of them owned the locals last night for the most part, hardly a couple and on top of that a couple travellers droped out or it would have been worse....I will watch the Port tonight and Lance will be near the front no doubt, some will call it Cherry Picking (me) other will say he's great (me) and the team is magic (me).....Hillary is and always will be a crook, lol...later....

Boy Mike your just a stand up guy aren't you. Really classy. Did your nurse's forget your meds again?? It's ok if your Bitter though Mike. Considering that your "photography" career was GIANT collosal Flop and you certainly never had the talent to strap into a sprint car you can just sit back and insult the men and women who do strap into them. THANK YOU to every team who has competed in Speedweek so far it's a Privilege to watch you race. Whether you're from PA CA Ohio or Australia. Your all our heroes. Godspeed 41. Oh btw Mike.....Take it easy CLOWN

Who let Wendy out, is it just for the weekend? Not bitter, thankful I sold more pics than anyone else, but it was a fulltime gig so I guess that makes sense. No insults, I have many friends from those days, it comes with 100+ races a year for that length of time in all those places you mentioned. Back in the closet Wendal, the dog catcher is looking for ya'....

Not just NASCAR, Cole Duncan spanked the posse as well. Guess thats why they dont get off the porch much. The only one who does, DD, was leading PA speedweek.

Wait a second... Posse tracks are Lincoln, WG and Port Royal. The other tracks are rare appearance tracks, level playing field. The well-funded “invaders” only excelled at high speed tracks with their oft-maintained motors. The exception to all of this is Duncan at Path Valley. For whatever reason, he is bad fast there every time they run.
