I know this isn't the place to ask but there seems to be way more attention here then the motor section.
We are looking at building our second 305 motor this winter.
i was wondering where a good place to start with for a cam would be?
who to talk to with a good race saver combination?
thanks in advance

Try Comp. Cams or Crower Cams Either one should be able to point you in the right direction.

Steve Huggins makes great cams and has done quite a bit of work on the 305s. I'd check with him for recommendations.

If you are not going to the Chili Bowl and will be near Cedar Rapids on Sat Jan 13th, there will be an auction/trade show that Comp Cams and Boyer Engine Development will be at putting on seperate seminars.
