Wisconsin fans love an underdog, do that was a popular ass kicking last night. The track was getting faster as qualifying progressed which helped him. He drove that thing like a maniac, was fun to witness. Sheldon and Schatz had a good battle going for several laps, Sheldon prevailed. And Matt Vandervere, who got in as an alternate after Justin Peck had motor issues was the hard charger. Another fun night of racing in WI. A large portion of the crowd stayed through the rain delay. Excited about the return of the WoO at Beaver Dam in 3 weeks.

So happy to see him get one. He's been taking ass kicking after ass kicking since leaving the porch. That's what happens when you go from racinf against locals to being on the road with the best of the best. No one would've blamed him if he decided to come home and race around here again but he stuck it out and now he is a World of Ourlaw winner. Congrats to Brent and his lone crew member. I'm sure there's more wins to come and I still say despite his struggles since going on tour, his future is very bright.

If he can get his qualifying program better, he’s got a real shot at being good. He’s always advancing 8-10 spots in the a main. Last night he was in the dash and you can see what happened.

I am sure that is something that they are working on. It was a problem at home also. Usually starting back in the field in time trial races that then charging toward the front. You can't he can't pass cars at speed. If he starts back in the field I always make it point to watch him.

No doubt. They were fast out of the hauler. He was quickest of his group in hot laps as well if I remember.
Funny thing, I was looking elsewhere on the track with about 1-1/2 laps to go. All of the sudden, I look back to the leader and see Schatz's car slide in front of Brent's. My brain could not process it fast enough. Your natural reaction is to think Schatz just drove up and took the lead. I can't remember seeing him being pressed by the leader to be lapped.
On another note, there is a lot of bitching about the WoO, their time management, etc. They absolutely nailed the show Saturday night. They got started early. They kept things moving. The track was 10 times better than I thought it would be after that long of a rain delay. Would the show have been better if it hadn't rained? Hell yes. The track was going to widen out perfectly by feature time. But, with that much rain that fast, I thought they did an amazing job putting on a show after the delay.
