Best tyre rule ever....NCRA 360 LR Medium RR Hard.. Worst tyre rule ever - anything stamped SC
I really don't understand all the fuss over this wing thing. We use to run 3/8" dish with one inch wickerbill....then they take it away and give us 2.5" dish without......and now they are going to make those illegal as well....this is a very expensive rule change for most racers and has little impact other than to create sales for the wing companies. What's going to happen to all of these dish wings? Hell, I have been fortunate enough to have some of the same wings for five or six years. With all the pitch that everyone runs they are just an over-rated air brake in my own limited and humble opinion. Make the sideboards square of you wish but quit messing with the center you are just costing us MORE money.
2 5/8 injectors....ie restrictor plate racing......this totally contradicts your wing rule. The racer's whined about all of the "dirty air" due to the lack of a wickerbill because they couldn't pass or follow too close. Finally the greater powers bowed down and granted the wickerbill back to stop all of the wickering...er bickering...
Be prepared for some SERIOUS whining when this one rolls around. Save money...yeah right...wait until the R & D starts on this one....more cams, more rockers, more injector runners, smaller bores with longer strokes, lighter and lighter components. My God, look at the money Nascar spends on their restrictor plate programs. I think (in my own limited and humble opinion, once again) that you are only going to narrow the powerband of the engine and the racing will suck even more than it already does. There will be more sucky sliders (Brownie might have a real tough time with this one...sorry my man!) because you can't pass and more stuff tore up! A 2 5/8" injector with a SC15 Right Rear tyre????? You have to be kidding me right?!?!?!?!
The best thing you can do is FREEZE the rules like they are right now....and then bolt some HARD A$$ tyres on the cars.....ie: LR Medium RR Hard
Tyres are probably one of the very few items that racers replace on a frequent basis thus not making their current inventory of equipment obsolete.
Peace out
