What improvements will be at Eldora for 2008? Uh new CLAY? lol.

During the 4-Crown, Stewart was on the PA system talking about next year and thanking every for 2007 racing season. He mentioned about maybe a Jumbotron up on Turn 2. That would be cool if it was the size of Knoxville's (if it can be seen through all the dust that turn 2 produces lol).

Also said something about no haulers in the infield. If could find a way to accomindate 200+ late models for the Dream and World 100. That would be sweet. It could be done for Kings Royal. Just the same way Knoxville does the Nationals.

Overall the track has come a long ways in the last 3 years w/ bathroom expansion, fencing, and scoreboard. Would be nice if the billboards on the backstretch would be taken out for seating or at least see the lady on the horse w/ the American flag on the hillside. That was always neat.

Only other thing I would like to see would be electric ran in the camping in Lots #1 and #2. I know it cost some $ upfront. But in less than 2 years it would pay for its self. Just my thoughts.

One last thing, 25th anniversy for the Kings Royal. Anyword what special things are in store for July?

When Louis Seymour first got his long, 5th wheel trailer, he couldn't make the turn into the pits (Earl redid the road before the next season). As a result, we had to schlep everything from the trailer parked at the top of the hill down into the pits. And, worse, back up. And, even worse, one day we got rained out after we were in there. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. It'll take forever to get everyone unloaded if they don't improve the road some more.

The 25th? Already? I must really be getting old.

Dick.

Speaking of the Kings Royal......If you are considering a motel room in the area, start booking now!!!This year Country Concert falls on the same week-end (a large outdoor concert @ Ft. Loramie, which is only 10 mile or so from the Big E). Book asap!!

They aren't going to make everyone unload, they are talking about making the the big haulers all pit outside the track.

How are they going to run sprints up and down that hill when they need to be pushed with 4 wheelers? Now that just seems stupid if you ask me. Plus lets see them try to make that hard right turn off the back stretch with the big ass right rear tire. It'll only take one time of Schitz running into the guard rail before that idea goes down the crapper.

Eldora Improvements!

I'd love to see the sound system improved, currently you can't hear the announcer with push trucks on the track, especially outside of the main grand stands.

I want to see a huge bronze statue of the Earl of Eldora at the main entrance. That and a tunnel in turn one!!!! Man thats a long hike around that place from turn one to the pits!!! Come on Tony - build me a tunnel on the front stretch!!! I'm getting fat and old(er) and miss half the race getting from the pits back to my lawn chair on the hill.
