There were two groups, he was quick time in his, Larson in his. I know the FACTS you don't and just proved it.
I'm not saying the guy is God, read my post I am asking for information on the guy. It is a lot harder to race at Haubstadt and Macon than it is at the big half miles and he has done well at both. A bull ring tests your skills a lot more than a hold it to the floor track, are you guys new to this game or what??? Cole is a very good racer with about 20 years experience I'm guessing, this guy is new to the sport. Jacob Allen has hundreds of 410 races, how many does this guy have a dozen, I don't know and am trying to find out but I am betting I'm close to that number.
"Everyone" is proclaiming he is better than Shane Stewart, one person said that, can you read, seriously, can you, or is it the comprehension that has you lost? Who said he was better than anyone else in attendance that night? I stated in my original post that he was "good all night" not all year or forever and I simply asked what anyone knew about him. Please don't try to tell me who is good and who isn't and why, I have seen hundreds and hundreds of Outlaw shows as well as All Stars and about every other group in 29 different States. I know this stuff, it was my living for a lot of years and this old fart won't be learning enything from you guys. Thanks for the props Stoker, but we are on opposite sides here and I am still looking for more info on the kid....

By "both" I meant Haubstadt and Macon, NOT short tracks and big tracks, sorry for any potential confusion....
Easy, I let you off easy, lol. Your response was so far out of whack, wasn't worth the comment, sorry you've missed the boat, again.....

Peck has ran over at Attica, Fremont, Atomic some other ohio tracks a few times and has impressed me with how well he does with limited winged experience. He's his best when the track is tight and his best finish in OHIO is 8th. Running usually around 15-20s over here. He had a great weekend between the MOWA show and Outlaw race. He's ran in the teens twice in Ohio this year and did not make the feature in 2 other events. He's a solid young driver and look forward to seeing his development in the future.

Peck has lots of experience in the powri and usac midget ranks. Have seen him race some usually towards the front. I believe he has won at the Ft Wayne indoor deal a few times also. He was impressive on Sunday. When I saw it live on dirtvision I thought he stuffed Sheldon but replays I saw made it look like just a racing deal. On a side note I’d rather they not do the double file restarts as it sets up scenarios like that and ends up with more torn up stuff.

Let's keep it real. Look at little Haud, Gravel, part times Larson and Bell.
Now look at the "old school veterans" . Just last year, Saldana felt the result of Larson winning in a back up car.
My point is a simple one. Car owners want results. Their drivers had better provide better results than their owners part time efforts.
How long would Donny, Brad or Darren last if their respective bosses spanked them each time while watching young kids provide better results on a part time basis.
Paid professional drivers must provide results.

I think Cole is only 25 or 26 so are you including go-cart experience in that 20years? I think he has only been racing 410's for maybe 8-9years and has All Star wins at Wayne County, Atomic, and Eriez which are some difficult tracks to race at. Also has been competitive against the Outlaws at several other tracks as well in a family funded, limited resource car.
Peck appears to be starting out and has undeniable raw talent and will probably also be the future of the sport. Pulled the link below but it has not been updated since last season. Went on his twitter feed and it appears he has raced a little more often than what I previously thought and sadly he has made some starts at Attica and I just never noticed. I do recall remember the win last year at Macon but I always thought he was a racer from the Illinois area and come to find out he has made more starts in Ohio and just did not notice. Based on his twitter feed, I am just guessing that this is his second year in a 410 but he has made several starts in midgets prior

Nick, you just rung a bell for me. I was thinking about Rodney Duncan who is probably his Father. Cole is a young hard charger who I am hoping gets some more funding and sponsors as he has shown a lot of ability the times I have seen him on PPV. My mistake! A big thanks to those that provided me info on Justin, that's what I was looking for all along plus some thoughts after having seen him race onetime on PPV.....

No problem at all. Yes Rodney is Cole's dad and they do a lot with very little. Hoping too that they continue to get funding as he is a very under-rated driver.
Not sure if you use twitter but if you google justin_peck5 you can see some of the races he has participated in. I looked up some of the results based on the dates and appears that if he sticks with it he will be someone to talk about in the future. Hoping he makes it to Ohio a little more often especially for speedweeks. We will see how he does in Wisconson this weekend.

This is the problem with open wheel racing now a days. No one is an open wheel fan. They are a winged sprint car fan, or a non winged sprint car fan, or a pavement fan, or a dirt fan etc. This kid has been around. He has tons of talent. I believe he is still the youngest winner of the Rumble at Fort Wayne. He is consistantly in either the A main or B main at the Chili Bowl every single year.
His pass on Sheldon was just fine. Just haters being haters. If that pass wasnt fine, then I'd like to know what is considered a "clean" slide job. Sheldon drove over Peck's left rear, which means he OBVIOUSLY cleared him. Sheldon has throw that kind of slider on people MULTIPLE times this year and its fine when he does it.
I believe Peck will be running against the All Stars this weekend in WI. Lets see how he does. I'm not saying he's the next Donny Schatz, but the kid has tons of talent in an open wheel car. And he's still extremely young and raw. I hope he continues to get better. Instead of hating, why isn't everyone happy to see more talented young guys coming up? These are the kinds of guys that will continue to carry the sport into the future.

Thanks again guys, this is exactly what Hoseheads was meant to be, ask Allan. Just trying to find out info on a driver I had never seen before whom I thought had a very good night.
If the Outlaws are rained out (I have monthly pass) I hope to be able to purchase an All-Star PPV, does this exist this weekend??? Thanks in advance....Just looked it up on their site and TrophyDash and it's not, c'est la vie...
Pete Murphy's deal is this weekend and that's a go for me...

Not sure if the All Stars shows will be live streamed, but they will air on MavTV sometime in September for sure! I hope they have some sort of live stream for those that cannot make it. Angell Park has become a really Racy place for Winged cars over the past few years. I wouldnt be shocked if they have 45+ cars on Sunday night

I'll watch just about anything on dirt but I prefer open wheel stuff. Ohio mostly has winged cars so that's what I mostly see. Just a matter of availability. Still havent seen a midget race in person but if they were closer by I'd go see them. I see nonwings when they're around, and even traveled to lawrenceburg twice to see them.
I think a lot of the nonwing vs wing vs midget deal is more a matter of availabilty.

It' actually just the opposite, small bullrings are easier and take less skill. Just because it's a larger track doesn't mean you just hold it to the floor and go. And im not saying i dont believe you, but how much time and how many states were involved for you to attend 500 plus outlaw races? That's like 7 full years of the entire outlaw tour. Thats crazy

I gotta go with MSPN on this one. I would bet to a man the drivers will say it takes more driving to win on the bull rings...1/4 mile, 1/3 mile.....the tracks start to open up more at 4/10 and 1/2.....I would think too that the areodynamics make more of a difference when it comes to handling on the larger tracks.

Besides an up and coming racer, He's also quite the athelete, and was a pretty good baseball player at Mooresville (Indiana) High School. One of his coaches is Dave Rose, Pete's brother,

I'm a driver and i feel like bigger tracks take more skill. This is also the opinion of many other veteran drivers I know. If you know a good driver that's been around a while or just go in the pits one night see what they say. On a larger track your spending alot more time negotiating the car around a corner. A ot more throttle control and taking the car where you want to go. A small track there is not much throttle control out of the gas into the corner then pick it up and the corner is done that quick. One quick back steer of wheel or two and it' over.

Easy, what kind of driver? I toured around the country for almost a dozen years spending a lot of the time following the Outlaws, I've see sprint car races in 29 States, all across Australia and a half dozen in Canada, it was my job......

Wait a sec, a dozen posts back I thought you said EasyE was Karl Kinser? To be honest, I thought that was a little suspect.

I was being facetious, making fun of him. EasyE was the lead singer of NWA, a band Karl has never heard of I'm guessing.....EasyE died of Aids a long time ago if my fading memory serves me right.....
