I hope and pray that no team closes shop. We will need all the teams we can get in the near future. And further on down the road.

Running with the best will only make you better. The WOO needs every team same as NASCAR has their start and park teams. The platinum teams need all the benefits to be able to run the series with the travel involved. The top 6 will win 90% of the races but if conditions are right with track and dash results there will be upsets. All the ideas to slow them down seem to actually cost more.To say you are a WOO driver is pretty cool.Bobby Allen teams are a good example of living a dream on a limited budget. Sponsorships and merchandise are key.

There are always teams that go off the tour (as a couple have this year), except maybe for Lorenc who is new the others your mentioned have made the tour work for more than just this year.
Wilson, Sides, Shark Racing, Marks...etc. It seems that they still feel they can make a go of it just by getting the Platinum benefits. It's not like any of them went into this year not knowing what the struggles would be. None of them are in their first rodeo. It seems to me, they have decided that they still would rather be out on the road than running a full schedule back at home.

I don't think it seemed like that difficult of a question. But precious feelings can get very tender around here.

There's been a whole bunch of threads that have gone bad over the years - real bad, real fast.
This one might just get my vote as the "sticky" to be retitled - "Read this thread first before posting - you may want to reconsider".
But, then again, I keep coming back for more.
What a tough f'ing crowd!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a price to be paid when a team chooses to run the WoO series......and the price is the largest the first year on tour. If they didn't commit to the tour knowing the first year would be extrememly rough or worse, then they were wearing rose colored glasses going in. Much like a team hiring a new driver and setting too high of expectations. What is it today (and not just in racing) that causes so many people to expect immediate gratification when a change is made?

Although they've competed in every event in 2018, the Roth Motorsports team is (as of last week) NOT a WoO "Platinum team" and is not expected the run the entire season.

I think that Schatz team may be headed for trouble. I mean, just how long can they expect to win everything in sight? Who else thinks Donny will just hang it up before Knoxville and go bass fishing?

Was really hoping Cory Eliason could stay out on the tour, but it is very expensive to drive all over the country. I think the plan was to run with the Outlaws, then go to other big races throughout the year, and then finish off with the Outlaws for the California swing.
