Any word on how many of the ASCS regulars will make the trip to Pa.
Will any do double duty at the Grove?
All Stars at Lenerville and Sharon trying to decide which way to go.

You can bet Hodnett will run the double, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Mark Smith were to do the same.

If they're running for National points they'll be there so expect all the guys following the ASCS tour. I'll be at Lernerville for all stars but if you're deciding which way to go head to the groves and watch the ASCS. 360s + 410s plus some drivers you rarely will ever get to see in PA makes that an easy call. Either way enjoy the weekend.

Will the Pa. guys be running 358s? Whats the difference in rules, other than 2 CI? Wings? Steel blocks?

Friday will very likely be a washout at Lernerville so that should help your decision there. As far as Saturday, Sharon should have a nice field, with the normal all-stars plus Shaffer, McMahon, Rico, Baughman, Holtgraver. However if you don't like a slick track I'd say go elsewhere, Sharon's new surface has had some great races but it's been extremely dry-slick with a cushion around the wall as fastest way around.

Looking forward to the ASCS shows but you can't go wrong with then All-stars at Lernerville and Sharon either. I can't believe Susky(aka Baps) has the 410's on Sunday and no ASCS while they are in the area. What a wasted opportunity, the ASCS would draw twice as many cars as a local 410 show. Someone should have stepped up on Sunday and made it a 3 day ASCS weekend. These are the best 360 teams in the country and they're towing half way across the country for 2 races. Hopefully this becomes an annual trek and another track or 2 joins in.

It was posted that no 358 guys will be allowed to run. It’s following ASCS rules all weekend.

PA has 360's as well as 358's with the URC and the Selinsgrove regulars. 358's are allowed to run with the 360's with the URC and at Selinsgrove but I'm not sure if the ASCS will allow that. Not many of the 358's choose to do that anyway. A 358 engine costs about the same as a 360 but I think they are still at a slight disadvantage. There's other differences other than the 2 CI but I'm not sure of all the rule diffferences. 358's normally run a smaller topwing but they are allowed to use a full size wing when competing with 360's at Selinsgrove or with URC.

I am really looking forward to seeing the ASCS for the first time in person. The weather is shaping up nicely and I dont see any reason why both tracks can't pull close to 40 cars. I just hope the Posse fans show support for both shows. Both tracks need to pull a home run....weather has hampered both Williams Grove & Selinsgrove over the last few seasons for their bigger shows. Looking forward to actually seeing the race at Selinsgrove since they moved the pits out of the infield. There is nothing like the "pure speed" when that track is right.

Agree 100%......BAPS would have made a perfect three day swing. Maybe next year if this weekend is succesful. I believe it would have actually been cheaper for BAPS to have the ASCS show as well.

I went to the Grove on Friday night. Too bad the track took rubber by the ASCS feature and there wasn't a whole lot of passing.
On a brighter note, I finally got to meet Harli White, who i have wanted to meet for a while. Even though she did not make the feature, the line to meet her after the races was huge, and she was selling lots of T-shirts.
Running Williams Grove and Selinsgrove was always going to be a tough nut for many of the ASCS teams, but I thought they brought a great contingent of cars. Hopefully, a third race can be added next year to make it more worthwhile to tow so far from where much of the ASCS national schedule takes place.

The Grove is a tough place for any outsider to come in and be successful. Personally would have loved to see them run Lincoln or Susky as well. It’s a shame they didn’t let the 358s run with them though but you can understand why they wouldn’t.

I understand your point, but the ASCS field didn't need any more cars. Both nights were over 40 cars. The Grove wwas a long night as it was, even without any screwing around due to weather concerns.

I have to agree about the long night part, that is ridiculous. Even with rain close 11:30 is way to late for a show to end. I haven’t been to Williams Grove in 2 years, but for that kind of attendance to be able to see a racing group that was never there that is a shame. Maybe next year they should look at Baps, and just skip WG altogether. On a better note we were able to meet Harli White and get a T-shirt. If I could figure out how to upload a link I would add the one ESPN did on her crash and what she went through to get back into racing. If anybody hasn’t seen that video check it out, it is truly a inspiratioal story.

The Magazine 1st Story: "Forged Through Fire". Here is the name to search for the Harli White video on you tube.
