Hi all, allow me to indulge myself in this moment of shameless self-promotion.
I started a podcast focusing on dirt track racing in the upper-midwest specifically. Think Minnesota, Iowa, the Dakotas, and Nebraska.
I've released my 5th episode today, and I mention it here because I interview Austin McCarl and Thomas Kennedy. Please consider checking it out, and sharing it with friends. Here are some links to the show.

disclaimer: This podcast isn't all about sprint cars. You'll hear stuff about modifieds and late models too. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the heads up. I like to keep up with what's going on with the Modifieds and Late Models and I listen to an MP3 player at work.

I see that you interviewed Greg Parent aka GRP. After ride and motel sharing to races in Jackson, Knoville and Eldora with GRP quite a few times I'm pretty sure that I've heard everything he has to say x10. But you never know, there might be something new so I downloaded the episode.
I used to do some podcasting for the Xcelerated sites and one season for UMSS Sprints. Now I've got a Tascam 24 track recorder, guitars, bass and keyboard that I use for multi track music recordings. Sound is still one of my interests even though I'm done with the racing work.

Greg is a great guy! He knows so much about sprint car racing in Minnesota, and is so passionate about growing the sport here.
I have very little audio recording experience, so learning on the fly while putting this show together has been a fun challenge.

I loaded all five episodes on the MP3 and am part way through the GRP interview. Volume levels are good and intro music sounds good. What a lot of podcasters will do is not balance the volume between music, commercials and interviews. The listener lowers their levels for commercials and can't hear when interviews start. There was a free utility called "levelator" that I would run the original WAV file through before converting to MP3.
You have a "radio voice" and keep the conversation moving along. Anyone in our area should add it to their favorite weekly shows. Great job, keep up the good work.

Hi all! Don't mean to shamelessly self promote on here again, but this week's show is one that I am very excited about, and would like to share. Shane Phillips of the Minnesota Mafia comes on to talk about his new project with Bell Helmets, and the Jackson opener. Also, Marlon Jones is set to be inducted into the Jackson Racing Hall of Fame (He's already in the Huset's HOF) and gives us a really great interview about his racing career. Consider giving us a listen! Show comes out tomorrow, and every Tuesday all summer long.
