Just wondering if anyone has been here and what the facilities are like and if the racing is any good for sprint cars. Thinking about going down Sunday for the 410 Sprint car show.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Been there many times. Good high banked track. Seen some real good races. Only draw back I have had is it will take rubber at times but what track doesn't.

It's a great track for sprint cars when they get the track conditions right. High-banked and about a 4/10 mile I believe. I always thought it was somewhat close to a twin of I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. The grandstand is wooden seating, but I love the set up of it. It's staggered really steep so you're basically looking down at the front stretch which makes for a unique view. It sounds like they've got some big names set to race. I typically don't miss sprint car shows there, but I can't justify driving two hours and paying $25 for a day race. A lot of their races run on the same night as Knoxville this year so I won't attend most of their sprint car shows, but if Knoxville rains out then that's where I'll go.

Just curious to know where you guys find the lists of regustered drivers for events anywhere? Not just this track.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Agree with everything that has been said.   It is deffinitely a high bank go fast place.   The stands do give you a good view point of the track as they do go straight up.   If you are a fan of day racing, it would be worth the trip.   However, like others, I have given up on day racing.

Thanks for the insights. Not really a fan of day racing but I figured this would be a decent day race since it is still fairly cool and early in the season.

Knoxville Nats is the only one that really publishes that. Most weekly shows are just show up and ya get who ya get. Following on twitter and facebook some tracks will mention when someone unexpected is coming to the track.

Agree it feels like a twin of I-80 only maybe a little steeper in the corners. The real question is, Is this race still on? And if so where can I get good and recent updates on it until Sunday. Lots of rain in the forecast, the track does not use Twitter, and the last Facebook update was nearly 2 weeks ago. I would just feel more comfortable with more info about the outlooks for track conditions and drivers making the pull.

Looks like they may be south of most of the weather. the early start shouldn't be a problem this time of year. And it would allow me to make a longer drive and still get back at a decent hour. But I would have drive through the 12+ inches of snow expected to fall in Iowa. I too am hoping to see some updates. I would make the haul just to get my first race in this spring and see a new track for me if I hear some updates.

Just announced on Facebook that the race has been moved to April 22 due to weather. Still a day race though...
