65 drivers later, does anyone really care? Obviously it sucks losing a high profile team with $ and good equipment but this team has been a joke since it's inception. Changing drivers like underware, hoping someone would be able out drive the piss poor setup in the car. I don't think anyone will miss seeing the next driver fired from the 82 this year. I bet that crew chiefs phone is ringing off the hook with offers LOL, or maybe not.

I care. Like you said it was a high profile team with resources. I wonder how many drivers turned down the offer to run the car? Probably not as many that said yes (and yes, that was probably too high of a number to build a long term successful team). Now, no offers to say yes or no to. Who knows when it might have clicked.

Sure hate to see another car go by the wayside. The team struggled after Zomer left, for whatever reasons, but the team still had potential.

Yup sad to see a team close up shop but what is one mans loss is anothers gain. Here is a turn key race team waiting for a new owner.

Now i have to ask from my ignorance.

What is a realistic price for a travel ready race ready set up like this? AND.

Do people ever buy full set ups? Seems like a lot of money to start. I would suspect people buy in slowly to spread the cost over time.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Other than Zomer it didn’t really elevate anyone, and left a few drivers completely screwed because they got canned without much of a backup deal (see KTJ).

In my honest opinion, most drivers that actually get fired from a ride do not have much of a back up deal. Unless it is basically a ride swap, which has happened before, you do not see someone get fired then show up the next night in something good, like it was "Planned". Drivers never plan to get fired, and they most certainly do not have a car owner sitting there idle waiting for the day that happens, as a car owner will put someone in the car. Saldana got fired and wasn't in a car right away, up until the 71 and 51 deals came along. Mcmahon got let go, and I firmly believe that he had the team manager job just as something to keep a check until another ride came along.

I get along with everyone that was involved in this team, and I will agree that a couple times, the way things were handled might not have been right, but everyone who thinks this is the only team who has ever done something like that is blind. Go out on the road, and you will see it more times than you ever thought you would.

I don't think any one is disputing this happens, but just probably just annoyed by the frequency.

Not directed towards racefanigan....

I'm disappointed the team isn't around, regardless who was in it. Maybe starting off you could of said, I didn't think I'd only be in it for X amount of races...however you'd be silly to NOT know this was possible after seeing the history of the team.

The only thing that bothers me is IF, that team had high expectations of winning, outside of Kyle Larson, who can hop in a carboard box and win. They're not Keith Kunz Racing.

Hopefully someone buys the equipment and starts up a NEW team, however I think the odds of that happening are slim.

Maybe so, team was still a joke. I have no idea what it's like "out on the road" and I don't know anyone personally on the team. All I know is if you want to run with the big dogs, you need to build a team. This teams answer was " it can't be us, so it must be the driver" so they changed drivers..... often.....with the same mediocre results. Name me another successful 410 team that tried to compete at the highest level who literally changed drivers 3 times a season and did well. I'll wait.

I agree.  When a team goes through drivers like water, it is no good for the team, the driver, or the sport.

It's like I always ask my sister who has a different boyfriend every other week------------did you ever stop and think "maybe I'm the psycho?"---not 100 other people.

Just sayin'

I said the exact same thing to my Brother after he cancelled his Match.com contract.

It heavily depends on what is included. I have not seen a full list, but is it two race ready cars, and a roller? Three race ready? Four? etc. Tools, whatever else might be included for spares. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they are looking for $300-$400k or even more possibly depending on what they have. The hauler alone is probably worth a good portion of that. I would say its rare to see a total sellout of that magnitude. I've seen people buy complete 360 operations before with one or maybe two cars and a trailer like a Intech or Capital Renegade or something in the $100k range. Even that is rare though.

I thought Justin Henderson did pretty well with that team...

Loss of any team is bad for racing, I have no idea who's fault it is

Sh&% happens....

Extremely Chriscu to see if we see Dusty zomer in a car this year. I see he is pre registered for the race Sunday at Randolph county soeedway. Just wonder if that was in the 82 car before they closed up?

I'm waiting for the group of "Monday morning crew chiefs", that constantly belittled this team on this message board, to cough up the money to buy the team in full and hire the perfect driver to make this a money flourishing/race winning operation.  You know who you are; I'll be glad to buy a shirt after the first big win....but the first time you change driver or don't win a race be expecting a large contingent of us to tell you how to run your team and just who you should hire to drive it.  (please note sarcism).
