Saw Joey Saldana used a provisional last night in Vegas does he have some left over from when he was a member or did he get it some other way? Saw Marks used another How many do they have to start the year?

I think some drivers sign a platinum agreement knowing they won’t make all the races once they leave California, this allows them to be eligible for provisionals.
it was announced in Florida that all platinum drivers were eligible for provisionals Down there and it wouldn’t count towards their total through July 1.

When you take a provisional I don't think you make any money, just points. It wouldn't make any sense if you were a part-timer if what I think is correct, been wrong before tho', lol....

You lose the minimum start money, however if, for instance if you win the race that pays $10k, I believe you get $10k minus the minimum start money.
