Seems like a lot of energy going into something the majority claim to despise and most have sworn off. Refer to my reply in an earlier thread about not liking operas. Solution, I don't attend them, they're off my radar and I don't post about it on Sprint Car boards. I Live in Minnesota so watching Daytona is as much about longing for spring and seeing green grass and people not wearing parkas. I can get that from golf but it ain't the same.

You make a good point there Stan. Bunch of people who allegedly don't watch "NAPCAR" sure have strong opinions about things that happened....

Funny how Austin Dillion can push and crash out Almirola in turn 3 last lap yet not one word out of broadcasters on Fox. Goes to show you how much the Earnhardt name still holds a vice grip on Nascar. God forbid anyone say anything derogatory about RCR or Childress himself we all know thats hallow ground and his little grandkid couldnt do anything jacked up. I know this is a fenderless forum but this really pisses me off and seems like everyone is quiet and ok with Dillions "BS" and nothing said about it. No more Nascar for me, period! By the way that was a perfect example of Dale Earnhardt driving and tactics passed down from RCR. Absolute chicken pleep move.

I won't comment on the last lap wreck.
However, as a working American, I cringe when I see the Dillons (or almost any other Nascar driver for that matter) talk about "hard work" and "paying my dues". blah blah blah. Spoiled brats. Can't blame em for taking advantage of a situation. But, don't lump yourself in the same group as actual people doing "hard work" and "paying their dues" 20 hours of practice and PR isn't hard work

In my humble opinion I don't think anyone should be arguing over which driver did what or didn't do. The problem and fault of all of this %100 Nascar, not any particular driver. The driver's (and fans for that matter) are all Victims of nascsr and the Inept fools they have running the show. Restrictor plate is Awful on Soo many levels and the driver's shouldn't have to be forced to try to race like that. There's no way they're not going to wreck, they're human beings. B France, S O'Donnell, M Helton and all the other Clowns in the tower should all be Fired IMO lol. The sport is completely is shambles and more than likely completely beyond repair. Thank God we still have Dirt/Sprint car Racing!!

I wouldnt be surprized if Dillion and Bubbas best finish this year were last weekend.Taking out and wrecking Hamlin for second wasnt a smart move as Hamlin doesnt forget.

Some of the 360 drivers from my local track used to make that assumption about a kid from Minot. His parents owned businesses and he could afford to roll a spare out of the trailer if he bent one. Since then he has done pretty well for himself.
Racing costs money. It won't win a championship if all the pieces aren't in place but if a team doesn't have enough it will lose one.

In the old days there would be a big brawl in pits after race. Now I guess everyone acceps it for some reason.

If any driver other than the dildo 3 had punted the leader in turn 3 the caution flag would have been thrown.
Safety is an afterthought to the idiots that officiate that shit show... How many drivers are at risk racing thru a wreck when years ago they inemented "new rules" on that to promote safety...safety my ass.
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Caution or not, the race was basically over. Once the white flag is thrown, the next flag finishes the race, so yellow or not, it was over.

I think that's the point.......when the caution flag comes out in a deal like that it's too late to think of safety.

So a car is leading the last lap of the Knoxville Nationals and Donny Schatz spins the leader out entering turn 3 and wins the race. Everbody ok with that.

No it would be like Gravel and national open a few years ago and If Schatz was the one being spun Im sure there would be a lot fun in the streets of knoxville that night/morning

Egras, do you personally know how hard Dillon has worked, or realize that he had to prove himself at every level to get where he is today. Sure having good equipment helps, but that isnt what it is all about.
Just because you dont think he works hard, doesnt make it true. It takes a lot of hard work to be good at your craft, especially in the racing world. Who made you king and decided to let you make decisions on what is "hard" or what is "paying your dues" is?

If the leader purposely tried to block/chop second place and contact was made and the leader spun, I'd be fine with it. My opinion would be, maybe you shouldnt try to block so much.

First and foremost. BOTH Waltrips just need to go put there coveralls on and yell at each other from hilltop to hilltop. REDNECK hillbillies, both of them, they make my skin crawl. I really liked Mikie's new hair dew, the guy is OLD and he wants to look good so he can chase young blood around lake norman.
The racing, s*cked. If thats what you care to call it. I am a fan because of Larson and Blaney. If i punt like that would happen at the nationals, the riot police would have to be called out. Austin Dillon is a nobody. He won a restrictor plate race, big deal, so has many other nobody's. Right Mikieee ?
And Ole DW. Jr. Johnson made you. Remember Western Auto, the team you started. booogity this...

Watched the video last night.
1. If that isnt punishable the Association is stupid.
2. If that is just a normal situation due to the shape of car and speed and style of racing the Association needs to do something to prevent it.
There is no way lives should be put in danger like that or equipment ripped up time and time again without steps put in place to prevent it
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

A Nobody's Resume
There are plenty of racers that would be completely satisfied with this on thier resume by the age of 27.

So now you have conspiracy theories and what ifs.
So all drivers who have won on fuel mileage should have thier victories taken away, or if the best cars wreck the win shouldnt count?
Tim Shaffer won the Knoxville Nationals when Donny Schatz lost a valve.
Bobby Allen won the KNoxville Nationals when Sammy blew an oil line.
By your rhetoric we shouldnt give these guys credit for thier hard earned victories. Do you see how dumb you sound?
