Larson Racing announced Paul Silva was taking over the GM position for his sprint car operation. All the articles I've read allude to him prepping cars for Larson over the last couple of years and how he will continue to prep them for Larson in 2018. Definitely a good deal for Larson. These articles don't mention much about the prior relationship with Stewart.
What do you think this means for Stewart? It wasn't too many years ago that Stewart and Silva were winning the 360 Nationals and being very competitive at the 410 Nationals. Is this enough for Stewart to overtake Schatz, Gravel and Sweet? I don't deny Schatz is probably still the favorite for the Nationals and the WoO chamionship, but I think things have tightened up considerably at the top of the pack. Gravel has another year under his belt and stability in the team, Silva to KLR and Sweet has the consistency, just needs to get a few more wins.

One of the things that doesn’t make a ton of sense to me is how fast Shane is early in the week (has won the cappy twice, won Osky last year) and then finds himself starting mid pack come Saturday. Maybe Silva being more involved will help that,

I know. He needs to nail that qualifying lap. He has run from the back of the A-main up to the top 5, so the speed is there, just need to be closer to the front to start.

It's so unfortunate that you turn a bad lap in time trails your pretty much screwed the rest of the night. You have to hope you can gain spots in your heat race. Or win it.
