Chilli bowl is a no brainer, back in the sprint car without Silva should prove to be interesting.

Chili Bowl is a no brainer if he is healed up from his Eldora 4 Crown tumble. Last update I saw on his Twitter was Nov 10th showing him working out to rehab. If I am not mistaken, he hasn't strapped in anything since the wreck in Eldora.
Will he be recovered enough to run the Chili Bowl?

Any chance Larson could have a two car WOO team ? Pretty sure it would be easy to find sponsorship or $$$ for Rico.
That would be a cool team to see with Silva.
Who knows, maybe Rico could pursue other interests, but as a life long race fan, I could not understand that

I was sitting in turn one at Eldora when Rico had that wreck. I thought he could have been a goner it was such a violent wreck. One of the most nasty wrecks I have seen in person. Not surprised he has had to rehab so long.

This is likely going to be an unpopular opinion but I'm just going to say it. I don't think Rico is the first choice for many 410 sprint car owners. Especially those looking to chase the tour. Of course he could do it but so can anybody with enough money. He's either crashed out of, almost crashed out of, or just plain given away far more races then he has won. Very talented, yes, but like many young drivers, he needs to calm down a touch before he can consistently run with the top tier sprint car drivers.

You're not out in left field at all. This came up a few years ago when Rico was running Trucks (what could Rico do on the WoO tour, etc.) and I offered the same thing. He'd need consistency. Not wreckers or checkers and not tearing up equipment. Rico is exciting, has a ton of talent and like many young drivers pounds it a lot. Not a bad thing, but to do 90+ races all over the country night in and night out sometimes you gotta keep clean and be consistent (on those night that are just not going your way you stay clean and pack it up. It's just life on the WoO tour).
The other point though, Rico brings marketability, backing $ and talent. He's also well connected and thought of in the sprint car racing world. If there was mutual interest Rico would be a Top 3 (and probably Top 1) choice for many owners.

He lost his truck ride because he wrecked about every other race. Great talent but also wrecks about every 3rd race on dirt as well.
Sheldon really did a nice job as a rookie as far as equipment. He used to trash cars all the time but did not do much trashing on tour last year.
I would expect Rico to run the same random schedule as he has the past few years.

Rico, enjoys racing a midget as often as he can. I don't think you will ever see him stick to a series. Pa speedweek, all star shows, and getting back home to race in some of the west coast shows is what he is all about. MY ERROR> I started my last post saying the chilli bowl would be a no brainer. If for any reason he still is not feeling as before, GET WELL FIRST, I had the chance to talk to him in the pits one night. Beside having big ones, he is one really nice guy to have a conversation with. Any wreck at eldora in a sprint car is violent. The sound and the silence are creepy.

I think we all lose sight of the fact Rico really hasn't been racing that long, when compared to his achievements. His website says 2011 was his 1st race in a winged sprint car.

IMO Silva doesnt want to be out on the road all the time. From my understanding he has a buisness in California. Him and Rico parted ways last summer right before Rico cancelled his Canada trip. But Silva still showed up with a car for Larson to race at for Knoxville. Never heard if Silva helped out with Rico at Knoxville or not. Now news has came out that Silva will be GM for KLR overseeing Shane Stewart. Now if Rico gets healthy, I woudnt be suprised to see Rico at WoO events with his trailer parked next to Schatz and being a 2nd car for TSR or Shane Stewart with getting help from KLR crew. Itll be a wait see thing.

If Silva does not want to be on the road then GM makes perfect sense. He will probably move to Charlotte and build the cars for KLR now.

Rico now has a Chili Bowl entry filed, so it is safe to assume that he either has or expects to be cleared by docs.
