Sharon Speedway released a press release that they are doing a 6 race "super series" this year with 6 $3000 to win races for the 410 sprints, along with 3 all-star dates. Seems to also bring credence to the rumor that Mercer is closing.

Also 6 Big Block Mods with that as well. I wonder if they'll crown a track champion off 9 races or not? On a semi-related note Atomic is going back to having both sprints and late models weekly instead of alternating races.

Yes 6 "mod tour" big block races for 2k to win. I suspect there won't be a track champion but who knows. It's just nice to see some good paying non-sanctioned races in the area and they should draw nice fields, I could see guys like Holtgraver, Dave Blaney, Dale if he's not on a tour, and/or Tim Shaffer being there depending on what other races are going on that weekend. It'll also be interesting to see where the extra All-Star date is, I'm sure they still got the Speedweek and Lou Blaney races in June and July, so I'd guess either sometime in May or possibly they'll headline the "apple festival" race. Sharon has put together a nice schedule with those 12 "regular" shows, 3 all-Star, a Lucas oil, and the 10k to win pro stock race.

Might be a 2 day version of th Lou Blaney Memorial? PPMS scheduled a bunch of 410 races too (the funny thing is there are more 410 races than late model races), Seems like they aren't waiting for Mercer to figure out what they're doing - can't blame em.

Looks like they got Mercers date, the first Saturday in may after lernerville. Also looks like a few of those 3000 to win shows fall on weekends the all stars are off and outlaws are not in the region, so should get some quality fields

With mercer closing western pa is losing a great facility. Between Sharon and PPMS the sprint cars will have a full Saturday night season ahead of them. I think the guys that plan on only racing 1 night a week are going to lean to Saturday nights thus hurting the Friday night fields at lernerville. For the first time in its history I think that lernerville sitting on there hands by not taking advantage of adding some all star dates. They have shown they plan on following RUSH with this new sprint car series they are planning. Lernerville will become a rush track, what a shame.
