Is he still racing? He was so good and exciting to watch in the wingless cars but never seemed to find a ride and I think they ran out of money for the family car(not sure?). I seem to remember him trying a wingless car a few years ago but haven't heard much since.

Man he was a gasser and often the show all by himself, thrilled me more than once and when he won the place usually went pretty wild. I know there was some personal tragedy, not sure if he raced after that, wish he was still around and he may be, don't know. If he ever sees this, thanks from a photographer who had much enjoyment watching him race all out, all the time....

Always a crowed favorite. Hope he get back behind the wheel some day.
If not , thanks for the great thrill's anyway he is a great racer to cheer for.

Yes he damn sure was a gasser! I probably account for at least 50% of the views on his YouTube highlight videos lol!!! I think I read something about him 6-7 years ago that said he was trying really hard to find a ride in usac because his family team was pretty much out of money. I know that usac racing has declined abit in recent years but its a damn shame that a guy like him doesn't have a decent ride in something, especially when you consider how many kids in top equipment have way more money than talent. Having him out there full time would definitely make usac racing more entertaining to watch.
Also, I remember hearing about the personal tragedy that you're referring to and I really hope that him and his wife are doing well - I cannot even imagine going through that.

Sorry, in my original post I meant to say that I thought he was running a winged car a few years ago... With the All Stars maybe? I'm guessing that it didn't work out but I sure wish that someone would put him in a wingless car.
