I am heading to Eldora this weekend, the weather looks fantastic for this time of year. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea if any non regulars were coming. I know last year that Rico, Ian Madsen, Aaron Reutzel, and if I am not mistaken I believe Bill Balog may have been there as well. I saw that Madsen is heading to Port Royal so I was just curious who/if any non regulars would be there. Also, I was wondering who might be there for the non wing portion. Last year the non wing field was very good but it was a BOSS sanctioned race last year. This year it is non sanctioned so I was just curious who might be there. The payout for the non wing portion is actually higher this year but like I said it's not affiliated with any sanctioning body this year. Any information regarding either of these questions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Carson Macedo, Hunter Schuerenberg, Rico Abreu (has on schedule but depends on health from wreck & CA fires as well) are going to be there! Shawn Dancer will be there from Northwestern OH, Rob Chaney in the CH Motorsports 83. Ed Neumeister is bdriving his 11n I imagine in the 360s. I imagine the nonwings will have a good turnout! Maybe a few Nonwing BOSS members from PA won't come but A lot of the BOSS guys are from down in Cincy/Southern OH so I think they will be there if they already have the safety equipment eldora manages.

I know most of the BOSS cars were there last year but also some big name non BOSS cars as well. I remember T-Mez was there in the 9x, Windom was there, Shane Cottle, Justin Grant, the AAA #18 was there, forgot who drove it, maybe Dallas Hewitt. I thought a race like this might appeal to Bacon and maybe some other guys who enjoy doing double duty. I sure hope it's one of those nights where you get there and some unexpected people in any of the classes are there. I seem to really always enjoy those types of races with pleasant suprises with a few unexpected show up. This usually seems to be one of those. That happening plus a good cushion close to the wall and it will be a fantastic overall race in my opinion. I realize that neither of those occurrences are guaranteed so I'm hoping for the best. I have been very pleasantly surprised by this race over the last few years. Awesome mix of cars, drivers, and classes.

Weather looks fantastic. Should be a strong field in all classes but without the BOSS sanction it's hard to guess on a car count for the NW, many times I've seen a smaller car count for NW as the purse increases.

Hoping for a good car count at Eldora. The past few years I think a total of 120cars have been there among the 3 classes. Only thinkg that concerns me as far as quality of cars is you have WoO at Port Royal, and The Short Track Nationals going on which will take some heavy hitters. Rico may not be there due to the wild fires and/or still recovering from 4crown, Ian Madsen is going to Port, Shaffer will be going to Port, Blaney not racing, Sheldon and Jac are with the Outlaws, and then you have people like Reutzel and Hafertepe at the STN which will take some double duty guys. USAC is racing at Terre Haute I believe so that will take some surprises from years past and I think Spencer Bayston is racing Midgets with Poweri.
Good things are weather looks great, and the Allstars have a race at Mansfield on Friday as well so the double weekend should help bring in some more locals/close travelers. This is one of my favorite events of the year and very under-rated as far as events throughout the year go. 3 different classes of sprint cars, the racing is always exciting, and a lot of drivers pulling double and triple duty. Its just a fun event

Will be coming down from Michigan with a car load of Ryan Ruhl fans. I believe the #16 plans on doing double duty in the 410 and 360.
Our group will be representing STAC Racing (Short Track Action Club) so look for the Ruhl or STAC shirts and say hi.

The triple a car is Todd Keen's & he doe's have a 2nd car that someone else drives. Sctty Weir drove it for awhile but I have not seen his name much this year. Maybe the Simon's will have both thier cras there also.
With USAC being at Terre Haute matbe we will still a good car count.

That is for sure....... Eldora is slow now and boring cause Tony ruined a masterpiece and took the mystique out of the place but then again its Tony so most people pat him on the back and tell him what a good job he is doing when he is not IMO and im entitled to one the minute i pay like everyone else and walk in the place and see a eldora thats a shell of itself... its a damn shame Earl picked tony

Bunch of whiners. If you don't dig the place anymore just don't go there, and quit your bawl baby crying! I used to travel out there 2 or 3 times a year from '85 to '94 and have many good memories. I choose not to go there anymore because of some of the changes but I'm not going to bitch about the place. There are plenty of dirt tracks around, go find one you can enjoy (if its possible for you to enjoy a race). I hope everyone at Eldora enjoys themselves.

Not really out of my way. I didn't bash the track or the track owner like you did. Typing vulger words in capital letters makes you sound like one tough guy but I kinda doubt you are. If you don't go anymore why are you crying about the place?

New show coming to a town near you: Eldora Speedway presents Sprint Cars on Ice. That track tonight was awful. NW cars were just crawling.

Ya'll always complaining about the track being dusty but everyone complained about the freight train after the rain for Joker's Wild. I'll take slick and being able to pass over High speeds and zero passing personally. I'm too young to have seen the "Old Eldora" in anything but videos, but the only differences I've seen is that it's extremely high banked in comparison. The racing didn't seem better or worse from what I've seen. I know one of the races I saw was from the 80's I believe and Doty won. Eldora is still a good track, but if you're a fan of wet heavy fast tracks that's just not what Eldora currently is. Fremont keeps their track pretty wet most nights so if you're up that way in Ohio I'd recommend checking it out sometime if you haven't been there.

True. I guess though I expect the track that bills itself as "best track in America" to actually try to bring the track back after hot laps and the sun went down. Nothing but running in what little cushion there was. I used to love going to Eldora. It's a shame what it's become, especially since the trucks have been running there.
