Why because Brian Montieth is dumb to manage his tires.

It was an ok night IMO, the feature was pretty exciting. Crowd and car counts were down compared to the last three years of this event. Heat races were not very exciting this year. I would rather have had Wayne Harper calling the race. For some reason I couldn't hear or understand much of what last nights announcer was saying, he remided me of a radio dj all jacked up on red bull. Kind of a long night for a one division show with 37 cars but the weather was nice and the track was racey for the feature.

Pretty sure all four tires were up when he pulled off. Might have been more to do with getting slammed into the wall by last place.
DD was the faster car at the end. Lance was holding on for dear life, and DD leaned too hard on the cushion between 3 and 4 as usual to help out.
Not sure which was worse. How this format works or track crew running down the burm and half a lane up top before the feature.

From the article, sounds like a great race... Dewease wins from 8th? Dietrich 15th to 2nd?
Wish I could have been there, 1800 miles away right now
Congratulations to the Dream team, once again!

Good race. Decent track. Bad break for the 21 and crew. 37 cars and the light crowd concerned me. Both have gone down each year. Especially when the race is supposed to get bigger and better every year. Still a great event tho. Hope there's 50 cars next year!

Looked like a packed house to me, $5000 50/50. I was surprised the car count wasn't higher.

Sure looked like a packed house to me as well. They announced several times all reserved seats were sold out for the night.

It was a very good crowd....maybe not as large as this year's Monday Speedweek race with Kyle Larson (which many said was one of the biggest crowds in the track's history) but the stands & infield were pretty packed. Next year's race will pay $25k to win and $1500 to start. Overall an enjoyable night.

Manage tires? That had nothing to do with the flat

Correct. He made a mistake negotiating lapped traffic and hit the fence. That's why we affectionately call him "The Edge". He goes balls out on the fence lap after lap and sometimes, it bites him but he's a blast to watch.

Crowd was down a little but still a packed house. Grandstands were full and infield packed. Very good feature. Dewease was probably at best the 3rd or 4th best car but was able to hold on. Lincoln needs to up the ante if they wanna compete with port...paying less than half the winners share compared to the tusc 50 and natty isnt going to cut it.

Brian Monteith is always the show at Lincoln, man he is impressive, might not be condusive to winning but the man gives it his all. He's the closest thing to Haud in his prime as anyone I've seen in PA since the G-Man who was often equally exciting. The feature was excellent the heats average and I was wondering where my favorite announcer Wayne Harper was also.....

If they are successful, why would they feel the need to "keep up" with Williams Grove and Port Royal. Two tracks, which by the way, they probably have half the capacity of when it comes to room for spectators.
Lincoln has consistently good racing, in front of consistently good crowds. They get more races in per year, then probably any track in the country, and have developed a loyalty from drivers and fans because of their reputation of only throwing in the towel (weather related) on a race night when there is no alternative. They seem to have pretty steady car counts and pretty decent concessions. Their bathrooms could use some help, but nobody's perfect.
They probably have one of, if not, the healthiest weekly racing programs in the country on a dirt track. All the credit to Port Royal for what they have done the last few years in making that a great place to be, and their big shows are awesome (however the late models are carrying a big part of the load for their weekly racing), but as far as I'm concerned Williams Grove only survives at this point because of the nights the "circus" comes to town.

Montieth split two lappers in fierce fashion on tnery to 3...Zemco 1Z and another car if memory serves...and carried speed into the T4 fence...had he not pancacked it the car would have been done immediately...hard hit.
McIntyre inherited the lead for the ensuing restart and Montieth blew by him only to see a RED FLAG and lengthy delay for clean up of the Macri 39 in 1-2 as the slow leak took its toll. He tried to restart on Lap 15 (see highlight video) with no dice...slowed and pitted without bringing another caution.
Had he pitted and made a change, he might have had time for a decent romp thru the midwest visitors in the rear of the back of the running order.
Bitching about the payout might be all some people are qualified to do...53 years of specatating and it was an excellent night of racing at "any price" IMO.
Stay home until Lincoln gets the parking and seating required to make 5 figure increases in the purse...we will not miss your sorry pissy pants ass.

Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Infield was not full. House was not packed. What are you looking at. It was not as full as the Tuesday SW show. It was not as full as the last 3 DC races. They keep raising the purse. And the car counts keep falling. And the crowd keeps getting smaller. That's not good. Wake up dude
