I know many of you on this forum also have Twitter so I'm sure by now, you've had something from a guy named Jeremy Watson show up on your timeline asking sprint car people to send him stuff. Allegedly, he lives in Texas and lost everything due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. There's a lot of things I've picked up on including some things in pictures he posted of flood damage that seems very suspect and to me, just doesn't add up. Obviously if his story is legit, I'd love nothing more than to see the sprint car community help him out like we so often see when one of our own is going through a tough time. On the other hand, if he's a fraud taking advantage of the charitble nature of sprint car people and trying to shame people into sending him a bunch of free shit, that isn't cool.

Is he claiming to be a racer or just a random person? A little research could be done.

He's a sprint car FAN from the looks of it. TMac did tweet this (link below) as did others, but TMac says "a friend..." though I'm guessing he doesn't know this guy, but is just using that as a moniker instead of saying a "sprint car fan" if that makes sense. I hope this is legit and when I first saw it I thought it was. Just went to the dude's Twitter page to grab that image/TMac tweet and wow he is going HARD at anyone and everyone for donations. I get it if its legit and absolutely not saying he shouldn't go hard for donations if its legit for his family...

Good luck to the guy but I find it odd that the bathtub and kitchen in his pictures look dirty yet the stuffed animals and the carpet in the other pictures don't look dirty. There are a couple of other inconsistencies in his pictures but to me that was the obvious one.

Hard to tell, but honestly, it's always best to give cash to an organization you trust. They can purchase what is needed and get it to the people that need it. Prayers for those that are struggling.

The pictuce of the house under water could not be his actual home. The water lines on the drywall are way lower than the water up to the roof on the house. It probably was a generic picture used but there are definate water lines on those walls in the later pictures. Then again the second set of pictures could also be generic pictures from other people. I'd hate to tell the guy to his face its fake if he really lost everything. Shame we have to be so skeptical these days for the few who ruin things for the rest.

That's one of the things that really stuck out to me. I live in a flood prone region and I've had friends who got flooded before. Those toys and stuff didn't go through a flood in my opinion. Way too clean. Anyone who's ever dealt with flooding knows the kind of filth that is left behind when the water recedes. The other thing was what another poster pointed out as far as where the water line is on the wall when the initial picture he posted clearly showed the house submerged up to the roof.
