People were wondering what was wrong with Greg Hodnett. I guess whatever it was has been solved, swept 410s & 360s at the Grove: http://williamsgrove.com/

lol.....just saying what I've seen from the 27 this year....All im saying isThe Guy wins two 410 races from the front row since Knoxville and he found speed come on...Start that same 410 10th chances are he isnt gonna win..The 360 has been the faster of the two cars all season.......Could it be beacuse the 410 is a maxium and the 360 a XXX?....seems to me since they made the switch on the 410. it isnt as good as it was before the switch.......And yes Glad to see Freddie get his first Grove Championship of many more to come. Don't think he finished outside the top 5 at the Grove all season.

I hear ya, but I'd still give the team credit. Hodnett kept the car up front. I saw them start up front earlier in the year and drop anchor like a mofo. Hell, at the Weikert Memorial he started 3rd (I think) and finished in the back end of the top 10 behind a bunch of guys including a 17th starting Dewease.
Over the last month or so I think he's shown himself to be a threat to win these big money races. In May/June I wouldn't have said that.

It's strange that winning from the front row has such a bad name since it doesn't happen that often.
Most of the big time racers and big races are typically won from the fifth row - at best.

Must have went away again. Lack luster performance last night at the Grove today at the Port. Starting on the front rows in todays sprint car racing makes a huge difference. Awesome preformance by DD today at the Port. Would love to see him to the safe for the upcoming 50.

FACT IS Hodnett was a 10 place car Sunday after starting 10th and clawing his way back there...and he only FOUND SPEED Friday after Rahmer (who actually had more speed to reel him in) showed him his nose and Hodnett moved down the track to block.
this is what you see when you attend the actual race...
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

It's the day and age of front row winners boys and "girls" you ought to be used to that by now! Winning from further back than the first two or three rows is pretty rare. Has to do a lot with the "slot car" sprinter they run these days. Miss the setup by a fraction and the driver is handcuffed. Less than a handful of drivers today can carry a car when it's off much more than a fraction. Very often we see drivers come through the "B" and advance well in the "A"....the reason? They've been on the track and made the right adjustments. Takes a lot of the guess work out of it.
