Thanks for posting. I guess we all get old, me to, he was a great guy. Been at this game since the early 50's and to many are no longer with us.

I thought that there may be a bit of a pun in my post but I let amyjur be the bearer.
He was indeed a good guy- very approachable. He started out as the Weikert tee shirt guy, as I remember it.

There is a really good Hidden Heroes TNN show about him specifically. They followed the Weikert team around for a week or so leading up to the 1987 Knoxville Nationals. It's in a Doug Wolfgang Youtube video somewhere.
