IMO: anyone that feed schatz a wheel this year should get one of TWO in return...everyone would have booed Schatz had he drove at the 41 the way the 41 drove at the 15...that was bullshit!

Schatz is the cleanest racer out there. I doubt he would let that happen again though.

Don't you remember everyone was too busy flipping S that Schatz crowded/bumped JJ after the checkers (for which he apologized to JJ afterwards). If roles were reversed, you are 100% correct and this board may have literally burnt to the ground with the vitriol that would've no doubt been spewed Don's Don's way.

It was before my time but it sounds like Ray Tilley is the only drive in history to match Donny's combo of being careful but still dominating. Just amazing how peaceful Schatz is while humiliating everyone on the race track. JJ did nothing wrong though. You don't beat the 15 at Knoxville by driving like a boy scout.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I think Schatz is due for a perfect 500 point qualifying night and will easily lead all 50 laps on Saturday, lapping 2nd place.

I loved the way Johnson drove last year. To quote the copy guy from Jerry Maguire, "That's how you become great, man. Stick your balls out there. "

Or to quote the man himself, "Shit, I wanted to win..."

As good as the 15 team is at ALL the majors. It was proven last year that yes, YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR NU*S AND BOLTS OUT THERE TO BEAT THE 15 TEAM. That comment JJ made was great. I wanted to win man. He put it all out there and if you want to beat the 15 you better be prepared to do the same.

Not bullshit.......................may possibly be the only time in Jason's career that he will ever be in the top 3 with 10 laps to go in the Nationals. He did what he had to do to put his name on the T-shirts----clean or not. Cannot fault him for that!

I totally agree. We will have to wait and see for this year. He had a great qualifying night and is top in the points right now. We will have to see how the 41 and 5 do tonight.

Yeah but we're talking about 150G. How often does any sprint car driver(other than Donny Schatz) have a chance to win 150G? I think it's gloves off when battling for the win in the closing laps of the Nats. It's not like wrecked him.

I couldn't believe how calm Schatz was in the post race interview last year. Gained a lot of respect.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

How often? I suppose about once a year during the Knoxville Nationals.

Well in sports vernacular, it was "rough" but not "dirty"
Like somebody else said, Gravel didn't wreck Donny, just beat him

Are you the one who predicted 10 wins for Gravel this year? Might not be the exact number, but you were definitely right that he has become amazing.... way faster than I expected
