It took them until Monday to Reschedule the Ransomville show so I'm not that surprised. Don't think they're trying to drag feet on this stuff, just trying to find the best logistical and logical date for both the WoO and track/promoter.

I have no inside info, but I would assume they'd be looking at either Sunday Oct 22 or Sunday oct 29.
Or I suppose they could try a mid week show the week they come back from Cali, but that's not really beneficial to anyone except maybe the teams.
Or i suppose they could run it next April.
They have a larger than normal number of prepaid tickets, so they are sitting on a decent amount of cash at the moment.

Of the two October Sunday dates, the 29th probably makes more sense because they will be headed toward Concord NC after this race; however, it would be around 600 miles to Pevely from Dodge City.
Salina OK to I55 would be only around 350 miles but then they would have to go back west to Dodge City.
They could also possibly run on Friday Oct 6 but they would need to travel 900+ miles the next day to Fulton NY or they could run on Friday Oct 13 but they would need to travel 800 miles the next day to Port Royal.
Regarding prepaid tickets there were only 6 reserved seats available for the Ironman as of the Friday before the race and the seating was probably all sold out that night because the place was packed. There are around 5,800 bleacher seats but that includes the pit bleachers.

in past experience i-55 did not reschedule that same year your tickets and there location would be used toward the next world of outlaw race or next years iron man

Do they dictate that or will they issue refunds?

If that is still the case, it's a bunch of bullshit! That's next to steeling a customers money! If they can't provide what a fan pays for in good failth, then they owe the fan a refund. Weather is the risk of the promoter, not the consumer. I wonder how the courts would see the issue?

I would think they really want to get it in this year. Follow the money. Every rain check ticket used this year will be virtually re-sold for next year's Ironman. Long drive 4 me so i probably will not make it if they reschedule it this year.

Sounds like something Guy Webb would do.

Posted on the I-55 Facebook page earlier today:
"Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 We do not have a confirmed date yet from WoO ... we are not ignoring the question ... we are anticipating making an announcement in the next week."

Double Ironman 55s next year. The 2017 version will be run on Friday, should be incredible.

I think they should give fans the chance to get their money back if they can't go next year
