Forsberg Wire-to-Wire in NCRA Mod Lite Action!
Park City, Kansas – July 22, 2017 - Dustin Forsberg took the lead at the start and never looked back to claim his first victory of the season as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products mod-lite division visited 81 Speedway in Park City on Saturday night.
Cody Kretchmar and Forsberg started on the front row for the fifteen-lap feature with Forsberg grabbing the lead as the green flag fell. Forsberg would quickly open a half stretch lead over Kretchmar before Kretchmar would spin in turn two to bring out the caution.
The restart saw Forsberg stay out front and quickly open up a half-stretch lead over third-starting Briley Goodwin with Ryan Ayers, Trace Ayers and Justin Kinderknecht giving chase.
The final caution of the night would wave with four laps to go when Austin Krogmeier spun in turn two.
On the final restart there was no catching Forsberg as he would go on to claim the half-stretch victory over Goodwin.
Ninth-starting and current point leader Kinderknecht got past Ryan Ayers on the lap eleven restart to claim third while Trace Ayers rounded out the top five.
The two, eight lap heat races for the eleven-car field were won by Goodwin and Forseberg.
