Anyone know the ticket prices for Fri. and Sat. for the Iroman thinking about there or the 360 Nationals really would like to do both but one week straight at Knoxville may be enough.

I don't know about prices, but wish I could go. Never been to Pevely but I hear its really racy, & my one experience with POWRi midgets was excellent, super competitive.
I've seen Knoxville 360s, its good too, but pretty much the same as Knoxville 410s, but a bit slower, fans not as excited (No Schatz!)

I couldn't recommend the Ironman enough. Tickets are around 35 for general admission.

When I go to the races, I always bring a pair of safety glasses to wear if the dust gets too bad.   When I walked into Pevely, I noticed that people were bringing skiing googles and breathing masks.   I thought it was a little strange, but went on about my business.   During the A-main, I soon determined why the skiing googles and breathing masks were needed.   I have never had so much dirt/grit thrown onto me as I did that night.   I eventually took off my hat to cover my nose and mouth.

The racing was great, but please come prepared.

Eveyone should make it to Pevely if you are a sprint car fan. I have been to KNoxville(although very nice and rich in history) I would take Pevely any day. It can get dusty but more so on Saturday for the 55 lap feature. WOO and Power I put on an amazing show. We just get tickets at the gate. And camping is free! Enjoy it is always a great race

The two night package for the tickets costs $65.  Tickets are available on the World of Outlaws website or directly from the track.  They will likely be held for pick up in will call since the race dates are close.  The best tickets currently available are in Section C.  The higher up you are and the further you are from turn four will minimize the dirt you will have to deal with. Because you sit up higher than the track and it is a short track you can see the entire show without any problem.  On both nights the Outlaws are joined by the POWRi national midgets which can really put on a show on the high banks.  On Saturday night they also have modifies racing which are not too bad if you like fendered cars, or you can do like many and consider those races as an intermission.

Couple questions:

Can you go in when the gates open and hold your seats with a blanket etc.?

No coolers allowed?

Do they have a bar like Eldora or sell beer only?

A lot of dust, stay upwind, towards corners will have more dust?

1.  I never have but i suspect that you can.

2. No coolers, food, or drink can be brought in.

3. In the past they had Mike's Hard Lemonade and drinks like that but I do not think mixed drinks, but they went back to Bud products this year so I am not sure what they will have.

4. Yes, as always, the wind direction will dictate where the dust will be worst, and higher is always better.  Good high seats in turn three that are not reserved.

Call the track and they will be happy to answer all of your questions.

If it were me at this point, I would go to the backstretch when gates open and get seats as high as possible.  Last year we taped down seat cushions when gates opened and then went back and tailgated.  Didn't have any problems.  This place is a high banked mini Eldora - you won't be disappointed

I'd stay out of the 4th turn, that dust there is incredible. As has been noted, the higher the better. Also, the backstretch stands don't seem to get it nearly as bad most nights.

The issue with the dust is that they redo the track before the A Main, so it's very racy, but also, really wet and dirty. No rubber down race track when you go to Pevely.

Many locals prefer to watch from the infield.  The track is high enough above you that you can see pretty much all the way around.  There will be some short trailers pitted inside but they usually don't affect your vision much.  The best part is little to no dirt in your face.  There will be a lot of folks in turns 1 and 2.  Take a lawn chair and have a seat between races.  Then look into their eyes as they come by.  You can't get any closer to the action.  The only negative is no beer in the pits but I don't go to drink beer anyway.  I go for the action and come feature time they'll be action all the way around.
