I am guessing there will be about 30-35 410 winged sprinters...a nice event for those that don't or can't go to Knoxville for the Nationals. I won't be in Iowa for the Nationals...so I will put this on my calendar.
$3,000 to win Friday and $15,000 to win on Saturday for the 410's.
They also have non-wing sprints and 305 sprints each night. The banner below is from Mansfield's facebook post.

I'm about 82% sure I'll be there.

I am planning on going, but hopefully this *&$@# heat and humidity break by then and you actually sit outside without sweat dripping off of you while your sitting still. Hats off to you guys who go in this crap. I don't mind freezing my arse off but this crap is horrible. Rant over.

Kind of an odd photo to use for promotion when Rico is registered to run Knoxville.

Very few Ohio locals go to Knoxville so pretty much all the locals from south and north due to the FASTvsOSCS co sanction. Might get some western PA invaders as Mercer is not running the 410s on Saturday. I know Shetler and Soderman Jr had planned on coming to the ASCoC race but decided against it due to unfavorable forecast. I'm thinking we might get some invaders too! Planning on going both nights if I can. I will add to anyone interested it's $15 for Friday and $25 for Saturday if you purchase the tickets online and $5 more each night at the gates. The BOSS series also has it's make up feature from the rained out ASCoC show on Friday as well. Mansfield has been getting good crowds just about every race and have improved the track every race and I'm so glad it's been as successful as it has been to this point. Also, for why Rico is on the poster it's because he won the race there Sunday so it makes sense IMO.

How nice of them to schedule against the biggest race of the year. Should work out well

Like I said, Nobody is racing in Ohio with sprints that weekend and nobody that was planning on going to Knoxville that weekend is changing their mind about it. Puts a lot of money back into the local sprint cars and that's a good thing in my book!

I'm not sure if it'll impact Wed-fri car counts, but if you're stuck in the C or D on Saturday, and Mansfield is on your way home, might some teams choose this option?

Sharon has a "special" 3k to win for 410's that saturday that I'd imagine a lot of western PA teams will hit instead of towing all the way to Mansfield

I think there'e plenty of race fans in the OH area that don't go to Knoxville that would rather be at a race that night than huddled around a smart TV or device just praying that the Nationals stream works.

The C or D at Knoxville still pays pretty well hah
Rico is in the picture because it shows tight racing in the feature, not because its Rico.

Dan, is the pic in the poster yours? Sounds like Mansfield Race last Sunday between Rico, Macedo and Bayston was awesome. Were you there (I guess if you confirm it's your picture than yes you were there ).
DD commented on Twitter that he'd have to see where he stands for Saturday at Nats if he would consider hitting the Mansfield Race instead of staying at Nats. Not sure how many guys agree, but if you're DEEP in the Alphabet Soup at Nats you may consider it if you are an OH or PA based Team (or even Indiana).

No I wasn't there. I saw Jim Balentine mention it is his pic I think on Facebook.
The Mansfield purse is pretty top heavy. You better be on the podium if you make the trip from Knoxville to Mansfield. 5th in the C-Main at knoxville (the first non-transfer spot) pays the same as 5th at Mansifled, $2000.
Regardless I am excited for the event. It reminds me of the Dirt Classic...a well paying event aimed at helping the local guys moreso than the national/regional travelers. I saw a 305 driver from Nebraska ask about engine rules on Twitter...really cool that there is interest from that far away as well.
