Will that car ever run good in a feature? Once again tonight starts 3rd in the A and comes home 22nd! What is the problem? It is top notch equipment and they have had 2 different drivers and 2 different chassis already this year.....same results. Joey is running better in the Indy Race Parts car. Also did the same person set the car up the night Larson drove the backup car and won at Eagle? I'm hoping they get things figured out by Knoxville.....only have 3 weeks though.

you would think he would be next in line.
Is the crew chief different from last year? The 17 hasn't ever been this bad has it?

Or could it have been that BC was such a tremendous talent that he overcame issues with an ill handling car? And, remember that even his success in that ride didn't include many feature wins.

Clauson had some success below the WoO level, but even he struggled at the WoO level. Madsen was the only driver that had asome success with that car.

I was disappointed. Seems to me that if anyone can make a mediocre car look fast at Eldora, it would be Jac.

The smart thing to do would be to put Kerry in the car since Tyler is the one turning the wrenches. Those two know how to go fast together.

Hmmm...you think Kerry leaves #2 Muddy ride for it? He's got a good thing going, hitting big time $$$$ races and is having a real good season so far. But if he has the urge to get back on the WoO trail full time next year it might be an option. My guess is he stays in the Muddy ride. Only way Swank keeps his job past this year would be IF your scenario plays out and Kerry insists on keeping him. Not sure Swank makes it through this year, let alone beyond...

Super Chuck saw Shane Golobic win in the 17w car last year, down at St. Francois Speedway for the NSL finale.

Put Lance Moss in it. He is the only driver that can bring the proper engine to all these WoO cars with Ford stickers plastered all over them. Couldn't do much worse plus all the WoO Ford sticker owners could sleep a lot better not taking Ford's money for no good reason.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I wonder how much input did Kyle have when he won on the set up? My thoughts are
they didnt question his suggestions where the other drivers input they took with a grain
of salt. Again just wondering but too many good drivers seem to flounder when they
get in the seat of this ride

Kyle drove their backup car with no full time crew help. Tyler Swank didnt make the calls, the regular crew didnt pit for him. He was basically there as a brand new team. If I'm not mistaken, a few of his cup guys actually made the trip with him to pit the car without any real dirt experience.

I went back and found what Kyle Larson said about the race at Eagle in victory lane and here is the direct quote from the WoO write up:
"Larson joked in Victory Lane that he had three crew chief’s at Eagle, Ricky Stehouse Jr., Tyler Swank and David Fero, a crew member on his No. 42 NASCAR entry."
I think Stenhouse Jr. was the primary crew chief on it that night. Here's link to full article: http://woosprint.com/news/race-reports/458-2017-race-reports/4526-kyle-larson-wins-at-eagle-raceway (Just copy and paste into URL, for some reason the hyperlink freezes the page when I attempt to use it).
