Any good advice for someone going to the chili bowl the first time? Going throught the hotel list, what's best reccomendation? Is there parking on site at the Expo center? Should we book room asap?
Thanks for any advice/input.

Plenty of parking on site. can be a bit of a walk - fairly unavoidable unless you get there really early. Can be a cold brisk wind sometimes other times nice and warm. inside is ussually quite comfortable. Maybe a light jacket on a cold day.
there a lot of hotels around tulsa and burbs most within 15-20 minutes Prices from 50 bucks a night on up 150 or so just depends what you are looking for in a hotel. I often just internet search and book as late as a week or two before when I know how many rooms i need and have always found something nice. No rush IMO but if you already know your room needs you might as well look around and see whats available. The close ones book up first but like a say you can stay in Owasso or Broken arrow and other suburbs and still be just short drive away. We tend to do that and hit a restuant on the way to the track.
Watch the boards here as it gets closer there will likely be threads on what to do where to eat and such. Enjoy your first one.

People will have tickets for sale outside. It's just like going to a major sporting event.

Thank you!
Also, do you pay to park on site?

The chili bowl had posted about getting names on a waiting list. They renewed other tickets first and then went down the waiting list I believe.
