Topic: old 86/40 low rail schnee chassis still able to be competitve in limiteds?

Hi
I have a 86/40 reversed rear bar low rail schnee chassis,,and a similar 86/39 OZ std bar chassis collecting dust. Local limited racing is 360 iron heads with about 530hp and on 1/3-3/8 banked dirt. I watch 15 or so weekly entries. Maybe 5-7 strong cars and rest pull off early.
Been many years since I raced, but thinking of hanging fresh parts like rear and front axle, wheels,steering ect on one of these old chassis and building a good motor and giving it a try again.
My chassis are 29" bars,,that I could modernize to 30s,,and they are about 190lbs bare as I remeber. The class has a 1575 weight rule. I'd need to add weight when done.
Anyone got opinion if it's doable that an old schnee with these measurements could still perform well today with new parts and set-ups???
Could be fun if the experiment works out as competitve with good driving.

There is a guy down in Texas running a late 80's Pre-downtube Gambler in a non-wing racesaver 305 class with new style body that runs real good.
I'll iclude a link to a video you can catch him in. Its a black car, I think it looks awesome!
At :30 seconds he enters the frame, he's also 2nd row outside at :25 seconds.

If chassis is square and not used up it should be fine.
