It was a hell of a race. He was on another planet. Personally, I was glad to see him win. Hopefully that will silence the select few people who liked to bust his balls for not winning in Central PA despite the fact that he won all over the country against every major sanction in almost everything he ever drove before he was even old enough to legally purchase and consume alcohol. Watching him attack that cushion like it was his worst enemy was well worth the $20. He's a very rare talent and I appreciate the fact that he still likes to wheel a real race car every time he gets the chance. If it weren't for the terrible accident in the 600cc micros that seriously injured Guy Griffin, it would've been an outstanding night of racing. Thoughts and prayers are with Guy. I heard it was a real bad deal and I hope he pulls through.

A couple quotes from the Sprint Car Unlimited article.
Larson said. “I didn’t want to run very hard, because every time I gave it more throttle, I got covered in more fuel.
“I was nervous about that … I didn’t want to light up in flames. So, I just ran around quarter throttle, basically, and tried to give the engine as little fuel as possible.”
Look out Lincoln !

Really what goes on is Posse fans keep fishing with the same bait for years and most of the country continues to bite. The vast majority of Posse fans even those who throw out the bait don't really mind someone like him coming here and winning. Quote from Larson interveiw " I sold $13,000 in merchandise here tonight, that is more than my NASCAR sales for the season." Sounds like people here really hate him. And this was at a track that can't handle a really large crowd. Those who are prone to do such things have been fishing with the same bait whether it be for Ouwlaws, Allstars or whoever for years and it is still working. Even a few Pa. fans haven't figured it out and express their shame constantly. And before you start you will not any posts where I have been a part of it but I sure do laugh at people who keep taking the bait. By the way the race was really late last night and there is a cloud hanging over it would be a reason for not much early morning comment on it.

Ouch...literally getting drenched/sprayed in fuel but also "ouch" cause he torched the field not running full bore...
Wonder what's worse, getting sprayed with fuel or getting sprayed with scalding hot steering fluid (this didn't happen to Kyle, but did happen to Kraig Kinser last week). Sprint car cockpits can be a real joy sometimes

I can accept the sale of $13,000 worth of merchandise in one evening more than I can accept he has only sold $13,000 in goods the entire NASCAR season.

Maybe NASCAR drivers only get a small cut of the merch sales? The team, maybe NASCAR, and Fanatics (the company that runs the sales of NASCAR merch at the track) probably takes a cut of the sales, plus the manufacturing and distributing cost. Maybe he meant per NASCAR weekend and not for the year? I don't know, just guessing to try to figure out how that number works because it doesn't make sense to me either.

Here's a thread where Ricky Stenhouse Jr agrees with the "made more than Nascar sales" part. Sounds like they get fleeced on the % profit they make for merch sales. Whereas with Sprint Car stuff they're making a higher profit %. So I can believe it.

Jeff Gluck (former NASCAR writer for USA Today and a great NASCAR journalist shed some light on the merch sales topic.
NASCAR drivers don't see all that much of merch sales after pct taken out for Fanatics, tracks, NASCAR, team, sponsor...
Source: https://twitter.com/jeff_gluck/status/881884418884853760
If someone was selling a $25 T-shirt with your face on it and you got about $1-$2 from each, would you be cool with it?
https://twitter.com/jeff_gluck/status/881886712208670720
So there you go. Just $1-2 from t-shirts for NASCAR drivers because of a large amount of hands in the cookie jar. Sprint car drivers get to keep all of their profits from t-shirts.

I went to Texas for the ascs show and stopped by the big track on Sunday for cup. I was shocked to see Larsons set up. He had a few racks of stuff, all oversized and ugly. Meanwhile Chase Eliott had an entire tent. Just a small example of how NASCAR misses the boat constantly.

Was glad to see Larson win last night and was hoping Abreu stayed with him for a great battle the 2nd half of the race. Just when you think you've seen the largest crowd for a race there, they come along make it even larger. Trying to get out after the race was a nightmare. Oh well, would do it again in a heartbeat!

I was amazed at the turnout! Leaving was really tough, but not a nightmare for me. Injury in 600 race was a nightmare, traffic jam was an annoyance
