Topic: Calistoga SCCT Sean Becker points?

The first six SCCT races 22 cars made up the A main. On Saturday they had a 24 car A main. Sean Becker was the 24th car in
by finishing 8th in the B race. Becker finished 15th in the A main, but only recieved 24th place points? Those 18 points
(2 per position) dropped him from second to fourth in the standings. Any one have an explanation?

Did he take a provisional (sounds like he did)? If so, maybe they only award last starting spot points for those that use a provisional. I'm not sure.

It was explained to me something like this, David Abreu wanted the 24 car starting field for this one event, and that the extra two cars coming from the B main were for show, but would not receive additional points for the A. It is mentioned on Facebook that the points were removed on Tuesday after showing on the site after somebody complained. So the real qustion is when and if there was any discussion regarding the extra 2 cars being elligable for main event points.
