I am sure Michael Barshinger is thinking, man I should have made a driver change years ago.

Nice to see someone as dedicated as Mike Barshinger have a good year. He has been around for a long time. Also nice to have yet another Outlaw killer team in PA. Congrats and so well deserved for all involved.
"I'm pretty particular, because I keep a driver a long time," Barshinger said. "Lucas is a worker. He is a full-time driver, and that's what I want.
"I'm dedicated to who I get. I had Johnny Mackison for nine years and Cory for 10 years. Once I get a guy, I work with them and keep them around."
Wolfe and Barshinger had numerous talks before a deal was struck. The selling point was an aggressive schedule that featured some traveling.
The team will run 70 to 80 shows. Barshinger indicated that the team will be a regular at Williams Grove Speedway Friday nights but will bounce around between Lincoln and Port Royal Speedway on Saturdays. There is also a planned trip to the prestigious Knoxville Nationals.
"It's hard to run for a point title when you want to run Knoxville," Barshinger said. "We are definitely going to be there.
"We are going to be traveling more than we have in the past. We will do Speed Week, Knoxville and maybe some shows in between there."

Is that 7 wins so far for the 24? Wow, and how many of those are in the last month? 5 or 6. They're hot as heck right meow. Good for Lucas too, totally underrated shoe nationally. He's quietly made the Nats the last few years and I think 2 years ago (or 3) was the highest finishing "Posse" driver. Totally underrated.

Funny how sometimes teams just click. I am happy for both Lucas and the Barshinger team.....maybe the charma changed with the new number? I am looking forward to the start of Speedweeks. It should be an interesting 10 days. It has the makings of being a good one with Larson, Abreu, Kahne, Walker, McFadden etc to go along with Wolfe, Hodnett and the new rivalery of Dietrich and Rahmer.

Lucas hasn't been this good in a long time, it's good to see someone different leading the Posse pack.

Lucas has always been consistent, fast and smooth but you're right hasn't had the results as he's having right now. He did make the 2015 (and scored a Top Ten) and 2016 Nats in the Zemco 1. We all know he qualifies well but once he got into the feature (and dirty air) the Zemco car would go backwards. Not sure if it was setup or that stacked tube Schnee, but it happened often. I did also watched his crew swap an engine after qualifying at the Lernerville Silver Cup in 2015 and finish Top 5 in a stout 44 car field.

It's turned out to be a pretty good move for Lucas too. I think most of us thought he was crazy for leaving the Zemco ride for a car that hasn't won a lot in the recent past. Glad to see them doing so well. Lucas is a class act and an underrated driver. Barshinger's been around a long time and good to see his car running upfont as well.
