Thoroughly enjoyed that interview and his thoughts on the Big Three plus Schatz and a bunch of other things. I have a couple of good Bobby Allen stories too - one from Williams Grove, Lincoln, and Port Royal!

Great interview. I hope that puts some lite on how things go in the REAL world of racing a sprint car. Here's bobbie's 2 cars running on what he called 80% rubber. His team stays in the toter. I know many times when they get to a track Bob usually gets some sleep before the cars hit the speedway. All I can say if you ever get a chance to talk to a real outlaw go talk to scruffie. Great, great interview. The guy has forgot more than most people on here think they know, including me. The Outlaws used to use his shop on there east coast swings and he helped many of them with set up. Logan and Jacob have one of the best behind them. I asked him one time why don't you go with a all white car so sponsors can get on that hood. He told me the money he gets doesn't go toward paint that wasn't part of the deal and he said then we would have to stop and wash it. I just laughed, but that's bobbie. One of the greatest to ever wheel a sprint car.

Awesome interview. You get thae feeling that there's a man who does it for the love of the sport, not for fame or money.
What was the deal with blown motors and smoking motors at the 1990Knoxville Nationals that Bobby won?

Steve Kinser had motor issues and fell out early. Mark Kinser lost a motor while leading rather comfortably. Sammy was getting drenched with oil the last several laps and Bobby's motor was smoking. Those two had a heck of a battle the last several laps of the race. Sammy thinks the outcome "should have been different", but that was his frustration at the time more than anything. Bottom line is that Bobby won the 1990 Nationals and no one can take that away from him. He earned it!

Did you listen when he said Sammy looked over at him and that was when he hit the wall. Good story, but I wonder why bobbie looked over at Sammy to see Sammy looking at him . Lmao. Had some friends over to watch that race. We all were standing cheering for him.
