Commerial - Cedar Rapids or Moline

When I have done trips like that, I always plan on making the major driving trip in the beginning, so I agree with Blazer, fly into Milwaukee or Madison so you'll be close to the airport when you get to Beaver Dam.

J & J, For Beaver Dam--Madison is the closest commercial airport ( 40 miles ), Milwaukee is further away ( 76 miles ) but might offer more flights and many of the 76 driving miles are on four lane roads. Enjoy.

I would check out Madison, Wisc. It's 180 miles from Madison to West Liberty, and 222 miles from West Liberty to Beaver Dam. But if Beaver Dam is your last stop, you'll only be 42 miles back to the airport in Madison. In the long run that is probably fewer driving miles in total for the trip than any other airport for you. And an easier end to the trip.

If you fly in to Milwaukee, I will give you a ride to Beaver Dam and back to Milwaukee that night.

For West Liberty, either Cedar Rapids (CID) or Moline, Ill. (MLI) are going to be your best bets. CR is about 45 miles and Moline is about 55. Alternatively, Des Moines wouldn't be awful either, but it is about 145 miles, but probably a lot cheaper than the closer airports.

larryitis, The kindness and thoughtfulness of race fans never ceases to amaze me. Your offer to provide round trip transportation to J & J is outstanding--well done !!!!! Some of my best friendships were established at some type of racing event.

I overlooked the fact that you were thinking two airports and two one way tickets. It's easy but spendy....In is Cedar Rapids , IA for the trip to West Liberty. Out is Madison, WI from Beaver Dam.....by about 30 miles or so closer than Milwaukee.
