Kyler Barraza beats #98 Troy Regier to the line by several car lengths in the 40 Lap feature for the Supermodified feature win in Roseburg Oregon.

Feature upset for the 900 hp supermodifieds: From the drop of the green Barraza was driving a good race keeping his sprint car straight and coming off the corners clean and was pulling away from McKeefery with Rick Veenstra in chase not far behind. After 15 laps a battle was taking place several cars back with Troy Regier coming on making his way to the front and McKeefery started slipping back and Veenstra took over 2nd. By lap 20 it was Barraza, Veenstra, Regier, McKeefery, Alberding, Jim Burgess, Matt Hein. Around lap 25 Veenstra and Regier were battling hard for 2nd and coming out of turn 2 it was Regier on the outside and on the inside Veenstra got loose coming out of turn 2 and went for a little ride into the infield and almost slowed to a stop but the yellow came out to bunch the field up. So on the restart it was Kyler Barraza leading the field with Troy Regier in 2nd, 3rd Andy Alberding, 4th Jim Burgess, 5th Bobby Dalton.

With the laps counting down Regier was trying to make a charge for the lead but Barraza just kept several car lengths in between and lap 40 came and Barraza took the checkerd flag for a huge win for his team. During trophy presentation promotor stated that this is only the 4th time for a sprint car to win a supermodified main in over 20 years and posibly the first for a dirt 360 sprint car.

SuperModified Feature Results- (40 Laps) 1st 87 Kyler Barraza, 2nd 98 Troy Regier, 3rd 32 Jim Burgess, 4th 36 Bobby Dalton, 5th 76 Andy Alberding, 6th 98H Matt Hein, 7th 19 Bryan Warf, 8th 8 Ernie Coppo Jr., 9th 48 Dale Lamborn, 10th 27 Martin McKeefery, 11th 91 Rick Veenstra, 12th 80 Gary Davis , 13th 12 Jim Pasquin (DNF), 14th 16 Nick Tomlinson (DNF)

Tell you the truth, i dont know we were all ready for the wingless race that was rained out and only decided to run that morning since the track is only 20 minuetes away and it is another race. We changed over best we could to go there and missed the hot laps. They came to us and said we had to weight 1725 prior to qualifing and prior to the main. That is all i know for sure. Tell you the truth they should have something for them since they are out HP by at least 200- 300 HP.

Congrats on the win! In beating Troy Regier you bested the guy who is usually the odds-on favorite to win in the SuperMods.
