They had motor problems in Qualifying and they didnt even make a lap, then in their heat they wern't hooked up in the track and couldnt get anywhere... Started last in the 4th heat, and moved up 2 or 3 spots only. I assume, rather than running the B and possibly tearing up equipment(since it seemed to be a follow the leader track) they packed up. Just my $.02

Again, new season, new driver (above and beyond the motor problem).....it's hard to start over and pick up where you left off if you were previousley successful. Madsen and Forbrook may still need to better understand each other. Where they started Saturday night might only be a row further back than they will start in this years Nationals heat race if they are fast enough in qualifying. So they better be able to go forward more than just a few spots. When Lasoski came on board after the success of Dollansky, it was a given they'd be good right out of the box. Lasoski and Forbrook had previous success and have known each other well on the track for a number of years.....maybe too well. Also, I'm not so sure that Madsen is comfortable running much below the cushion. If you can't run a consistant fast lap low at Knoxville, and in the middle groove, you will struggle. Kinser, Lasoski and Wolfgang could, Schatz definately can, and Gravel and Sweet are showing they can too. A Feature is seldom won at Knoxville without getting away from the cushion AND not giving up ground or losing momentum when doing so. We'll have to see how the team develops over the next couple months.
