Thinking of hitting Knoxville Saturday night and then West Burlington on Sunday night for the All-Stars.  Anyone have any insight on how many cars to expect?

Just curious is all.

I would hope a lot, but I've gotten my hopes up to normally be let down at 34.

My hope is 26-30 cars. When I think about it, in reality it should be 40+ but gonna go with the lower number and hopefully I'm surprised!

I think you are probably right at the 26-30 but I think it will be good quality cars. Both Madsens, Balog, Kaeding, McCarl, Lasoski, and few other MOWA and Knoxville regulars plus the 10-12 All Stars. Don't think you will see any IRA other than possibly Balog.

I'm thinking 38-40 at Knoxville.

And missing dollar Busch beer night Friday? Haha

But no I'm agreeing with the rest. Probably 38 at Knoxville and 26 at Burlington would be my best guesses. Should be a great weekend but I won't be making Sunday night sadly but for sure the other two nights. Go team Knoxville! But I wouldn't be surprised with an outlaw sweep like PA.

There are 16 all stars headed that way so with locals I could see getting about 40 cars. All stars have had great car counts all years, especially at places flush with local talent.

I'm wondering how many, if any, All Stars, besides Tony, will make Angell Park on Thursday.  It's 5 grand to win, nothing to shake a stick at.....If these guys are racers, tey will make the tow....

Looks like at least one unexpected drop-in - Dominic Scelzi will be at 34.

Prepare accordingly - supposed to be blistering hot Sunday (high of 97 degrees).

Color me disappointed. T-Mac runs very well at Burlington and would have been one to watch. Good luck in the other events though!

Will Austin and the 2KS team be attending?

Tony Stewart Doesn't run the all stars he just... Well RUNS (owns) the all stars. Isn't a points racer though. I highly doubt more than 2-3 are gonna tow out there for the night. A lot of the drivers have full time jobs and other priorities to deal with that race the All Stars. Not all of them are professionals (i.e. make all their money off of racing). Actually, Kemenah may be the only "professional" driver in the bunch. Caleb Armstrong farms, I'm pretty certain Caleb Helms is involved with his family business... My main point is don't bash any of them for not going out of the way to an unsanctioned (not all star sanctioned I should say) event on a Thursday which many are probably working. Doesn't mean they aren't racers.

Shame it didn't work out with the weather, I had purchased it on theCushion but got a refund once all stars weren't going back. Looked like a fast little track there, made me interested in traveling up to WI to catch the all star swing someday in the future. Also, in regards to the 5k winners share of purse, that's the standard all star race purse. But they don't get tow money to go there and a lot of them aren't a lock to make the feature so would be definitely losing money by going.

Don't know what the local support will be but the All-Stars bring a lot of cars - 15+ regulars. It's not the same quality of cars as the last few years but hey they're all fun to watch.

If they are able and don't make the pull, they aren't racers was my point

How does not racing a race that 5+ hours away when you have a life outside of racing not make you a racer? They race for that exact same purse every night. That's my point.

90% -maybe more- of The All Stars regulars all have jobs. It ain't called the workin mans series for nothing.

Should be a very solid show - know for sure that Ian Madsen, Brian Brown, Austin McCarl and Lasoski (in Burch 1M) are coming. Hopefully Kerry Madsen will be there. Also saw Dominic Scelzi will be there.

Going to be very hot and windy, so hopefully the track will be in good shape - though I fear rubber.

Good car count, decent show.

Find it hard as a fan to decide if reworking the track is good or not. The A was a freight train after 34 did the work, but not sure how it would have been otherwise. Passing cars seems to be going away in sprint car racing.
